Does anyone know if it's easy to take apart the 6" War Within Titanium Starscream toy in order to repaint it? Since the line's getting cancelled, there will not be a Skywarp version and I'd like to have one to complete the seekers in their WWI modes (Starscream, Tundercracker, Sunstorm). I'm a beginner level kitbasher so taking things apart is a chore to me if it requires a lot of work other than finding the screws.

I read the Heir to the Empire series, Dark Force Rising, and some of the New Jedi Order stuff in the mid-90s when the Star Wars hype got me excited when the Special Edition movies were re-released. Some of the books were o.k., didn't get too into them for long once the hype died down. Reminds me of the Splinter of the Mind's Eye and the novels on Han and Lando that were made between ESB and ROTJ movies. The Dark Empire comics I thought was bad and the Shadows of the Empire stuff so-so. Once in the books Hand and Leia had 3 kids and the Anakin became some super-jedi to-be I gave up on reading anymore.

Well I'm going to continue on the topic from the just recently archived TF section regarding the 6" Titaniums. Did anyone ever see the G1 Ultra magnus, WW Ultra Magnus, The Fallen, or Sunstorm at their local store? I never saw these for sale at either Anime Expo or Comic Con this year, only saw them for sale on eBay so I don't even know how large or when their distribution was since Target and Walmart stopped carrying the 6" Titaniums right when the last wave was suppose to come out. I was able to get the Titanium Menasor through Hasbro Toy Shop after it being sold out on Sunday at Comic Con, they're still available right now for those interested. And for those asking, yes the Alternators Rodimus was a hot ticket item at Comic Con, saw people buying between 2-4 a piece. Went online the next day at HTS and it sold out as well, thankfully I got Menasor since I was able to buy one Rodimus at CC Sunday morning when they didn't require tickets to purchase it. A few hours later walking by the HTS booth Rodimus was sold out for the remainder of the show.

In person the Iron Man costume at SDCC was pretty slick looking. Couldn't get to close in since there were tons of people taking pics but it did look imposing.

You didn't really miss that much at the Con, if you wanted to preview things beforehand then it was o.k., but if you wanted to buy items then the pickings were slim in my opinion. Didn't see anything that I couldn't get at my local store or online. Few booths did have the VF-0s and other 1/48 items. And the Con was super-packed even on Sunday. Took me 5.5 hours just to visit the booths quickly. I have a review on this year's SD Con on my site, www.MonsterOfTheWeek.com. I only took a handful of pics at SDCC compared with the tons I took at Anime Expo, it seems the majority of SDCC as always is to buy things instead of dress up and show off. Due to the large scale and heavy traffic to get around the convention center, this is most likely my last SDCC I will be attending.

The Grindhouse girl was an actual amputee. The story is she had cancer of the leg as a teenager and lost it. I give her props by being on the rifle the entire day, everytme I passed the booth she was still there taking photos.

New photos of IM suit from Comic Con. http://i.enewsi.com/g/?mode=album&albu...SDCC%2FIron_Man

Well I hope the trailer is playing on a loop at the booth so I can check them out at Comic Con.

I am planning to possibly going Sunday, would have liked to go on Saturday...but the tickets for the 1-day were sold out! I am just looking to go to the artist alley and get some sketches done by the pros. If anyone goes today or tomorrow please post the artists in the alley available for sketches.

Well if this list was true, it would have had more credibility if this came out weeks or months ago prior to Graham confirming the 1/60 YF-21. This coming out just today and saying that they were right on the YF-21 date only AFTER it was announced seems a bit sneaky to me. I am hoping for the VF-0 armor though.

Nice animation cels displayed, were those from various members or was it just one member with that collection?

Well since the Skywarp MP is being released in Japan, what's the chance of Walmart or another retailer bringing him to the U.S.? The coloring is tight looking, this should look sweet next to the Ivanov SV-51.

Looks like a good time. Who did the Destroid toy modifications? Those look tight and makes me want to break them out and repaint them.

Nice Flint mod, the face used I think looks really good. Still trying to find these though.

vote for jetfire in the new transformers movie
baronv replied to xsjado's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I voted for Jetfire only if they at least tried to make the Skyfire version (the 'toon cybertron plane version not the valkryie). Then at least the Autobots would have some airpower in the next movie. Apart from him, Devastator would be nice to just have one big honkin' robot bringing down buildings. -
Battlestar Galactica Discussion

The best place to get them will either be your local hobby store or eBay since these were sold within the last couple years and haven't been re-released. They've sold out in a lot of the online hobby stores or are now jacked up too high in price. These used to sell in the $15-20 range a piece when they first came out. The last time I saw one of these toys from the BSG line was over a year ago, the Stealth Cylon Raider at Frank & Sons here in So. Cal and when I went to get it the following week it was sold out. -

I guess the closest to a in-scale Viper would be this version: http://dave.ajmedia.ltd.uk/ebay06/bsg_viper2_2.jpg I have one that I picked up a while back, but I think it may be close to to the 1/60 valk size. Not sure the exact scale of these Vipers though. -
Guess so, no 70's or 2000 Basestars or the original 70s Galactica, which were the only other main vehicles I wanted to complete the BSG collection.
-
I've never read the old Hama-written GI Joe comics. Was the entire run good? I'll have to check if they have reprintings now.
-
I do think the BSG 3" Titaniums were usually sold out where I am at. The only ones that sit a while were the Cylon Raider Scar which I find once in a while. Same with the Action Fleet size BSG Titanium. I'll miss that line if they cancel the 3" line since that's where I buy the capital ships from the series' I like.

Oh my, those photos make the SV-51 super sweet looking even more! I guess my saving up for a new golf driver club will be replaced by this new toy instead. Hopefully they won't make me pay big bucks if I get this at Frank & Sons.
-
Well I'm hoping to still run into the 6" Titanium The Fallen, Ultra Magnus (G1 and WWI version) and was Grimlock 6" WWI version coming out still? Also, after watching the TF movie I decided I wanted the 6" TF movie titanium Prime but now they've sold out and none of the Targets have restocked them and they're exclusive to the store as well. Drats.

I wonder how MP SS will do at Walmart this time. When MP Prime came out my friend and I pre-ordered through KB Toys since we thought they would be in short supply. A few months later, MP Prime is on clearance for $40 at Walmart.
