Doing some organizing of my collection and found a Milky Dolls cel from the PS game Macross Digital Mission VFX......forgotten I even had it!

At around the 1:32 mark in the video....

Oh wow, I have cel from this sequence too. I never did know the actual video it came from until now.

    OK....had a hunch and I was right!

    Try Episode 8..."Longest Birthday"....21:13 mark....

Funny, I also found out that I also have at least one cel from the same episode!

I always thought it would be cool to pool MW collectors' cels and see if we could "re-tell" the story with as many cels from each episode that we collectively own...

Awesome, i'll check out the episode. Thanks!

  3.  Wow, this thread is still going!

Been out of the cel & Macross toy hobby for almost 9 yrs., but picked this up recently as a Christmas present...sleepy looking Hikaru/Rick in uniform.

    First cel purchase since 2012!

If anyone can point me to what episode it might be from would be appreciated.

  4. So jealous that collectors are still finding Macross cels. I've pretty much stalled on cel collecting since the prime cels are just too hard to find these days and I don't have the fortitude to deal with Y!Japan anymore.

I do check cel sellers at cons I go to but they're mainly American 80s cartoons.

  5. Still no Macross cels and haven't really gotten anything Macross/Robotech-related in years except these two items that I don't think I ever posted.

Got Tommy Yune to sketch Hikaru for me a couple years ago at a local con. Also, commissioned a sketch from Udon artist, Long Vo, at SDCC of Hikaru as well.

Got a Minmei one from Long Vo last year too but I need to go find it.

  6. Golly, I haven't checked MW in a while and now I see jvmacross is the true Macross cell collector connoisseur these days. It used to just be a handful of Macross cel collectors like Mokman and I and a few others several years ago bidding on these. Glad I retired from the cel game, no way I can compete anymore.

    Stuff is looking nice!

  7. Here's the remnants of what's left of my collection/ After collecting heavily for the last 10 yrs. I sold most of my toy collection over the last 2-3 yrs. The only figures I keep on display are these in my home office. I don't buy much anymore, but if it can fit in the display, I'll still consider it

I still need to catalog what I have left that is boxed up from my last move.

  8. Texting. It's now takes 15 minutes of going back and forth to get a message across when it could be accomplished in seconds if you just call the person directly and speak to them. Texting to me is like the telegraph, it was supposed to have been replaced by voice communication. Until we are able to communicate by mind control, calling someone directly is more efficient than texting.

p.s. Finally watched 3D blu-ray on a 3D tv at a relatives house, very underwhelming to all who tried on the glasses. B))

  9. Didn't know 3 was out already, I thought Jaa went into self-imposed exile after OB2. OB2 was very flat to me, even the fights were so-so compared to his first two films.

Hopefully the next movie he makes goes back to modern times and just having him fight various style martial artists with no wire-fu, no repeated angles, and NO complicated stories...just Tony Jaa moving from fight to fight.

  10. Was at a South Bay 99cent store and among the 5-yr old Kung Fu dvds and 90s b-ball documentary dvds was Macross: Superdimensional Fortress DVD, Vol. 1 by Harmony Gold. I thought, "Hot dang!" but when I looked around didn't see the remainder of the other volumes so I just left it there. I guess 99 cent store is getting ADV left-over stock along with those Inayusha, Reign, and other anime dvds.

  11. To start a new text message is only two button presses on my crappy old Moto Razr. Of course, that thing's a turd in almost all other areas, so it's not something I would recommend... if they're even still selling it. ^^;

Ha, I just replaced my old cheap Nokia AT&T freebie phone for a used, cheapo Motorla Razr. Can't believe it was hot so many years ago, speakerphone is wonky and battery drains fast for a basic phone. But heck, it's way better than my old Nokia 6555 which shut off or killed calls anytime it wanted to.

Been debating Iphone 4 or Android and only thing keeping me back is data plan rates. Like the fact you can tether Android phones to hook it up to a laptop on the go.
