  1. When you think about - this isn't surprising... I mean - the actuall hydraulic construction of a battroid probably does not make it as swift as Bruce Lee in fighting hand to hand - and I can't really see a Battroid "kicking" anybody because of the potential damage to its' engines or feul lines -
There was a Macross Saga episode where Max in his VF-1A Battroid kicks a Zentradi knocking him out. Later in the episode his battroid appears wearing that same Zentradi's coat and hat. ^_^

    Edit: grammar... WTH??

  2. 2) $170 VF-0 toys with exploding shoulders. This should have REQUIRED a public apology and free replacement parts for anyone who bought one. Yes, I know this wouldn't have helped all of us outside of Japan but it should have happened. Selling toys that break through no foul of their owner is insulting, to not even try to make amends is far worse than greedy.
I think they do what they can...considering. Yamato USA mailed out Garland shoulders to me without hesitating. Yamato Japan worked out that deal with Overdrive for replacement Valkyrie parts.

Of course, if I never get my replacement part, I'll probably be singing a different tune...but time will tell.

  3. I wouldn't mind that...but I doubt it. When BBTS upped the price of Toynami's Cyclone pre-order (from $79.99 to $199.99), the email notification stated that Toynami had given them the MSRP and if retailers didn't stick to it, then orders wouldn't be filled.

So, my guess is this: If the Beta's listed price is inaccurate, BBTS would've been told by now.

  4. I'm also curious to know how good this new one is.

I barely remember the Lundgren movie.

So I can only comment on the Tom Jane one. The 70's class special effects speaks volumes about how low the budget must've been. And IMHO, the Punisher himself didn't have much style, was a terrible shot, and just stumbled into danger with no evident strategy. In other words, he was a mess. Maybe that was deliberate?

  6. llol. i tired that actually, i got the uber sexy Supergirl fig and gave it to my wife as a prezzie for christmas, she liked it. :p

Another instance is when i got the Nora SV-51, and told her, in macross, this is the RUSSIAN SU. I told her this is what Russia would have made.

My missus is Russian. lol i win both ways. I did however tell her the other fighters i got aren't from the US or made by, but in fact the United

Goverments of the World, so she couldn't lay any dislike for the Zero or others. hahahahahah any one not likin the joke can kiss both our ass.

The extremes we go to for our addiction...
  7. Hhahah good stuff! So the Millia is for her?? Cool that chicks can get into Macross, can't say mine is ever gonna except my fandom.
It's hit or miss for me at this point. She'll either love the figure, love the gesture and just add the figure to my collection, or simply get pissed because I spent another 200 bucks.
  8. My first Yamato figure was the Garland. I had that sucker pre-ordered.

But I hadn't picked up anymore from Yamato...up until a week ago. My wife just shook her head as I gleefully giggled and cut open the box containing my 1/48 VF-1J Max Super Valk.

Then, I got her to start watching The Macross Saga with me. She was impressed at how involving and mature the story is. Then she saw Miria... B))

I should be receiving the Miria Super Valk tomorrow.

  9. Only thing i wish they didn't include is the brain helmet and sucker, that's dumb.

    Never saw the episode

Great episode! A freak accident makes Grimlock a super genius. He goes from "me, Grimlock" to "I, Grimlock". Then he creates the Technobots, they form Computron, but Computron is unable to process data well. So Grimlock donates his intelligence to Computron (via the brain helmet) and goes back to being dumb.
  10. Thanks RD Blade, it's cool we can swap, as i love the blue equally as the red.
No prob. Here's what BBTS said about it.

The figure will have an LED light in the right fist for the ability to light up the gun and the sword. The eyes can also change colors in both modes, and the figure is partly made up of die cast construction.
