I'm not too keen on either head. They're both recognizable as Scott/Stick, yet both lack something. A cross between the two would probably have been ideal.

From what I know the movie's been scrapped. My friend Jerry was directing it (comming off Gears of War as the Art Director) but Warners took such a hit on both Speed Racer and Clone Wars that they cancled Thundercats altogether. It was also supposed to be an all CG movie not live action.

Bummer. Perhaps Warner should try putting out a good movie from a promising franchise instead of pulling the plug on anything categorized as "remake". Why not judge the damn thing on its own merits? Instead, Speed Racer and Clone Wars will be the standard by which any future remakes are measured. Pffft!

Hasbro's distribution is way inconsistent. I remember looking for Animated Swoop for months. I finally found one and bought it instantly. Now I can't go to a store without tripping over 5 Swoops.

Man...reading about all the Alpha's flaws and breakage-prone parts really makes me fearful to handle mine. I used to transform it regularly, but ignorance is bliss, I suppose.

A while back, I was trying to negotiate with an ebayer for a KO black G1 Optimus. Dude wouldn't let it go for under $80. Needless to say, no sale. The whole time I was thinking "Uh...you understand it's a knock-off, right?".

Takara choosing Ratchet / Ironhide for the next MP would really annoy me. They should have been properly released as BinalTech / Alternators. (Although, I think that Skids was originally intended to be inronhide, judging from his build and head.)

Anyway, Alternators are almost to scale with MP Optimus. An MP Ironhide would have to be bigger in order to justify the hefty MP pricetag. Bad enough scale was totally ignored for the seekers. Maybe I expect too much from the MP and BT / Alt. lines, but I'd like at least some consistency.

I had to choose between the Beta and Cyclone. The fact that I have a blue Alpha and a Megahouse Ride Armor made the Beta the clear choice. Would love to get both, but you know how it goes.

The Alpha was my first Toynami. I was pretty happy with it...cept for the paint apps.

But $255?? It must have been somebody that didn't have the forethought to gamble on Toynami ever releasing the Beta. Or it was an impulse buy.

That's an old Gakken 1/35 Legioss and the Tread is 1/55. It's an apples and oranges comparison that's causing your visual confusion. If the MPC Alpha was present you'd see the Beta towering over it.

I submitted an order of about 7 pieces to Overdrive and within a couple days they sent an email saying they got my request, about a month later they said the parts came in, I paid and now I have the parts. Keep trying cause it's definitely worth it!

How long ago did you initially request the parts? I ask because I sent out a request weeks ago and haven't gotten a confirmation email of any kind. Maybe they changed the process?
