  1. Here's my Stealth in Urban GBP by Kurt. I saw the grey/green/black combo he did and kept seeing it as a city version, and it turned out even better than I had pictured it.
  2. Here to quell the pain... /nowhere else to post this anyways //Happy B-Day Jen ///For the love of everything holy, don't quote this pic. Go find a better, bigger one to post! //// Love the slashies
  3. Make sure to post some pics, it's always cool seeing the finished goods!
  4. They're on e-Bay as well http://cgi.ebay.com/Macross-Frontier-VF-25...%3A1%7C294%3A50
  5. Since the Angelbird gets about as much love as a hooker in church, I thought I'd post my simple pose (I am getting better) /edited for spelling badness turned goodness
  6. Weird, no idea man, sorry. Possibly he's taking some rest? My interaction was only business, but he was a pleasure to work with. I'm pretty sure I stumbled across his work the same wine soaked night I found this site, and I knew right then that I really really wanted a 1/48, and better yet I wanted one of his works of art. I'm looking forward to seeing what people do with the 1/60's, but damn man, the 1/48, it seems to be a great canvas for people to work on.
  7. I just started collecting 4 or 5 months ago... I checked the Yamato's out on the internet and read the reviews and they seemed to be the best, but all I cared about was they were big and gorgeous, superbly detailed, and just freaking awesome!! My first was the 1/48 VF-1J Stealth, my wife got pretty irritated at me carrying it from room to room with me. The collection grew pretty quick, three from squid (VF-1A Max, Higgy, and camo ver 2), an Angelbird from a trade, and the crown jewel of my collection, My Vf-1S Hikaru and GBP custom painted by the legendary Kurt. I plan on picking up a few more here and there, like the Max and Miriya Super's. I know that as I get further into Macross I'll pick up some from other scales (I'm already eyeing the Elintseeker), but the 1/48's will always be my favorite. The way I see it, there will always be people unloading their 1/48's to get the new hotness, and then I can scoop them up and enjoy.
  8. I see a copy of the Macross Gold on e-Bay every once in a while. What's inside? I'd love to see a couple of shots if you can?
  9. Thanks for the recommendation!!
  10. Yeah, sorry, should've been more specific. I was thinking of an actual kit, based on this picture: I've heard of Mike's kit, thanks for reminding me...I'll spend some time digging around and see if I can find some info on it. Like I said, just curious.
  11. Just out of curiosity, what do the experts out there think the cost per model would be if someone with experience (like the Captain) were to take on the infamous 1/60 Monster for a production run? /Every time I see that picture, I just drool.
  12. I'm in for two of these if there is a group buy. They look pretty damn cool.
  13. I've been happy with tisinc99.com's service. Selection is decent and shipping is pretty quick. I've never been burned, so it's got that going for them.
  14. Dude, a booster as an add-on would be sweeeeeeeeeet. /has anyone started their Commanchero yet?
  15. Wow, very impressive. I think the Kazutaka Design Works will be next on my list. Is it worth the cost?
  16. What an awesome project to take on!! If there are plans to cast this, I'm in for at least two.
  17. I'm all in for a Glaug. I missed out on this one due to my poorly timed attempt at self restraint, you can be damn sure I won't do that again, even if the scale is off from what I wish it was. and then the Cat's Eye? /crosses fingers, kisses blarney stone, tosses coin
  18. Yay, my wife just told me that she bought me the Tenjin Hidetaka Valkyries book as a late Valentines Day present. <img src="http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> /poof, like it never happened
  19. ouch ouch ouch So I haven't ponied up for the stands yet, sheesh. I'm getting a little bit better at posing, but it takes practice man. That's why forums like this are so helpful, cause it lets you see what's possible with them. / I remember watching wizartar's instructional video on youtube, man every step it sounded like the thing was snapping off pieces left and right...
  20. The collection, as it stands now. I joined MWF before I purchased my first Valk, and I read with amusement as people spoke of the "addiction", and said things like "bye bye paycheck". "Not me" I said. Yeah Right... /Damn
  21. I believe these are the Valks. Maybe somebody that was there can confirm?
  22. Yeah, the wife is already hitting the roof on my new found (to her) hobby, so what the hell, what's one more? I'm in baby. BTW, found this pic on an artists website, thought it was pretty cool...
  23. I'm not sure if it's the wine talking, but I think I'm going to give it a shot... I've got four days off starting Sunday, this seems like a good way to avoid the chores the wifey has laid out. /I'm
