I found this guy on Letgo just recently.    Not gonna admit what I paid for it out of fear of a Tar and Feathering!

I haven't collected any Macross toys in more then 10 years and I always wanted an SDF-1.   Scratch the Robotech part and It's perfect.

I was able to attend the panel.. pretty informative and I was glad I could make it.

The autograph session was something else altogether.. I learned how AX does their sessions now.. They have a set number of tickets.. primary and secondary.. 100 for primary and 50 for secondary.. I also learned that secondary almost never gets the chance... which is silly.

I was one who scored a secondary ticket... we were told not enough time so no secondary tickets would get signatures.. blah blah.. then they started selling tapestries for another Kawamori title called Nobunaga the fool? For $50 you get the tapestry signed by SK and the item you brought to have him sign.. Since this was my reason for AX I dropped the $50 and managed to get my Macross Mechanical Works book signed...

I'm still pleased as I got what I brought signed and got to meet SK.

I'm still not really feeling this series.. Frontier already had me by this point. And to be honest 8 episodes in should be enough time to decide whether or not you like something right? When I first started Delta I needed some... adjustment period for lack of a better word. Now 8 episodes in and it's not that I don't like it.. but it's pretty unremarkable, I find myself gravitating towards other anime series out this season. I'm not gonna stop watching at this point but I'm not drinking the Kool-Aid either..

I stumbled across the Macross Gold Book at a book sale. I'm not familiar with what these go for these days but I paid much less then I expected. Has the poster, and at first glance the film strip. I get home to check it out and its in excellent shape.. and the film strip is from Area 88... DOH!

Oh well I now have a gold book.

So what is this? Code Geass x AKB48 x Macross 7?

I agree with aaajin at this point.

Frontier was a hard pill to swallow, but it eventually grew on me.. Now it looks like we are regressing back to Mac 7... joy

I just picked up the GBP 1J, got it from the bay for about $115 shipped.

Haven't really had a whole lot of time to mess with it.. I like it.. but its pretty pricey for what it is. I see prices for the Strikes climing much higher then what I paid..

As it is this guy will be used as a topper for my SDF Macross Pachislo..

So I just read through 11 pages of what ifs..

This could be interesting.. and without having to sell a Kidney I could probably pick up a few.

As for the Arcadia/Yamato/Toynami whatever.. I can't justify the cost..

And on a related note... I just made my first Macross toy purchase (in 10+ years).. the SD Makuros Figure.. that looks pretty sweet.. probably get hell for it...

If someone has a lead on the 30th Anniversary VF1J thats not crazy prices.. lmk.

I haven't collected anything macross toy related since the days of Kevin with Valkyrie Exchange.. and Tam with TwinMoons... lol.

With that said I just started really looking at toy prices and wow!

Most go now for $200+ with some even climbing above $300.

I specifically got out of this when prices started climbing above $150 and the Mrs. was giving me the stink eye for paying $$$ on toys..

So what's the deal? Are the new toys holding their values? very few older toys did.. save the limited runs (Low Viz 1/48?)

I starting eyeing up the Arcadia 1/60 30th anniversary VF-1J... which may be my first Macross toy purchase in 10 years (lol) but not for $150 an up on the bay..

I am still kinda feeling it out.. Hit the Big Bonus pretty quickly, which then rolled me into a mode called Valkyrie Time...

Hit the attack Bonus 3x so far... and no Kyun, Kyun mode yet... Vendor already installed POTS on the speakers for me so it wasn't crazy loud like my Eva Machine..

I have the Pachislo (Slot) version and its pretty entertaining.

I have been hunting the Pachinko Version since last summer.. I played it @ AX 2014 and the same vendor had it setup @ Otakon ... liked it enough to keep an eye out for it.

Man, gun laws suck everywhere. The RCMP just criminalized 12,000 firearm owners by banning a few toys from Swiss Arms and CZ. There's a HUGE stink about it up here.

Correction not everywhere, in the US if you live in CA, NJ, NY, CT your pretty much hosed. Either get on your representitives or move.. pretty simple.

As for Canada, I have an old College Buddy up in Manitoba who traverses the border into Michigan regularly. He mentioned something just recently about some new import law. This may be what he was referring to.

As for you Jason, Not much I can tell you to help out with the whole situation in CA, Gotta get the word out, and do what they did in Colorado. or better yet stop electing people like Diane Feinstien and Nancy Pelosi to represent your state in congress...

Greeting MWers... been forever and a day since I last posted here.

While helping a friend move we stumbled across these little gems. My knowledge of orguss is pretty limited, but it dates back to the days of SDF Macross.

Both appear to be legit, and appear to be complete, so I am looking for some information on them. I have already hit up the bay and prices seem to be all over the place, and usually I find the ARII models which from what I am reading are IMAI reissues, Unless I read otherwise, there is a good chance that neither of these has seen any daylight in 20+ years.

So with that out of the way, I am looking for any info on these guys. Value if any? Rarity.. etc. etc.

Looking for the MW member if he is still around who did the run on the UN SPACY vinyl window decals. My window decal as served me faithfully on 2 cars and has gone from white/red to white/pink to white/white all thanks to the sun.

I am assuming at least one "old timer" MW member remembers this and I can't find it in the archive posts.

during co-op modes either Terrorist hunt, or normal campaign in co-op there are parts where something will trigger a sound effect, board, machine gun fire, anything and the sound will keep repeating like its stuck. Also if someone attempts to send a game invite and I am not within the game already the game will get stuck at the ESRB screen but everything else will load and connect I just cannot play.

Haven't tried any single player yet, this game is like ghost recon where I hated single player squad shooters but multiplayer was a hoot.

Add another one to the list.

I just got my system, and I noticed there was some heat buildup towards the rear on the bottom. I had an extra laptop cooling mat and have been using it and now there is no more heat buildup. Anyone else try this?

As for online gaming, been mostly playing Rainbow Six Vegas and its extremely buggy. So much so that I have to reset that game at times in order to play.

I don't think the movie was crap, and I don't believe it was really good either. It was entertaining so as far as I see it achieved its goal. I could sit here and nitpick its flaws all day... not worth the time or effort.

the movie was garbage. Dead or Alive was better.

Only redeeming scene was the hidden anal sex scene between Burny Mak and the Maygin Focks after the ending credits

David, I know just how you feel about the Grand Prix, I had a black 95 GTP coupe. It had the HUD and all the other trimmings to it at the time. Unfortunately due to age I had to let it go, never went back to the Grand Prix because I didn't like the redesigned styles. Plus they got rid of the coupe and only make a sedan and with the rising cost of gas I am glad I moved on. Now I am awaiting my 07 Civic SI coupe from the dealer. I am "supposedly" getting a build date of middle july but we will see. How you'll be able to point me out is that I will be the one person in an SI driving Normally, and not like a "tool" like every other SI I see driving around. So I shouldn't be hard to spot .
