DX VF-25 version 2

[...] Oh, and I also meant to ask, kind of off tangent from the current topic, but for those that purchased it, does the V.2 VF-25 still have issues with mold release and grease covering the model when you first remove it from the box?

I know that was a very large issue with the first release, so I was wondering if that was improved with the newer version [not that it's too big a deal or anything].

Not mine, but I don't think this would be an issue at all -_-

I just got the renewal VF-25 and let me say, it is a beauty.

Outstanding, looks like right out of the anime.

One of the legs was very tight that I had to loosen the screw that holds the leg joint.

Excessive force can certainly break the metal bar. You just need to be patient transforming this complex toy.

Bandai finally delivers a Valkyrie that can compete with Yamato in quality an appereance.

Hello

this is not true...

Bandai needs to learn how to paint correctly a toy............ <_<

Considering the price the fact that I need to mask and then use my airbrush makes me mad

The paint on mine was spot on, but a tiny piece of plastic on the chest piece came bent in the box. Unnoticeable if you aren't looking for it, but it happened anyway. I'd say Bandai still has a ways to go on the QC department.

the paint is spot on ? I would like to see honestly

can't you see the gaps in fighter mode

(I did not mention the reason of my intial complain)

they should have painted the sides too, this would have been nicer

in addition you can note that the engraved limits are not respected (bad masking tape position)

here is a photo of mine...

Spot on was probably not the right words. Yeah, mine still have the gaps where the transformation occurs, but I was more concerned with colors bleeding over, etc.

My beef with the valk is not the paint, which I still think is fine and what I expected - I expect imperfections from a mass produced toy - but with the bent plastic piece I talked about. I already posted this pages ago, but I figured I'd post it again. That left side is bent down. Doesn't impede on the transformation or anything, but it is still bent. I guess it's nothing like the hip bar snapping or anything, but it was something I noticed. Can't fix it either, since that piece looks like it was actually chewed on by the world's tiniest mouse. Don't know how it ends up like that, but whatever.

you should get some tamiya quick epoxy (it is hard as a rock after few hours)

and then paint it

this product will solve the issue B))

I use it for plane modeling...

too bad Vancouver is it bit too far for me otherwise I would have fixed it for you !

free of charge of course :)

Very new to this forum, could anyone suggest a good web shop to pre-order the Super Pack for VF-25F renewal? Thank you in advance :p

Better answer: I bought mine from Tokyo-Hunter. Cheaper, and still in stock too.

That's what I did with mine. I painted over the sides so the white wouldn't be showing.

It really helps the overall look of the toy.

However, the paint application job they did with mine was pretty atrocious. It's like it was bring your kids to work day at the factory and they gave some grade schoolers brushes and let them have at it.

The shoulder areas were pretty sloppy and not even smooth. The paint is actually a little lumpy in some parts. At least yours looks nice and straight even though they went over the lines.

I forgot to fix it before I sprayed on the clear coating though so I just left it as is.

Yeeeeeeeeeeesh... I just looked at those web order sites... APRIL??? Why on earth does Bandai take so long to release anything after the pre-orders are out?

I assume they manufacture them to order.

Tokyo Hunter is legit.

Anime-export is perfect! :)

Thanks for all you helpful information, just have pre-ordered at the Nippon-Yasan, can't wait for the April next year :D

we have a group buy going in the buy & sell section of this forum.

Thanks for your suggestion, but I live in UK, it might be more expensive if I join the group buy ;)

Sorry to reply too late but just to share my experience:

I recently made a purchase from Nippon-Yasan - Sayonara no Tsubasa limited edition bluray. I have mix feelings about my purchase from them. I received my item damaged where some kind of force was pressed on the box and thus caused a tear on the spine. It also may be due to the shuffling on my package in a oversized shipping box. I also believe that some one actually opened the package because the bluray slip was placed on the wrong side. If I absolutely had no other choice I might consider doing business with them again. At the moment I rather pay a little extra elsewhere.

Tokyo Hunter takes longer to respond but so far they've been more trustworthy for me. As a matter of fact I just ordered the same item from Tokyo Hunter. If I receive it brand new, unopened and undamaged, then Tokyo Hunter wins the battle.

Thanks for sharing your exprience with us, Isamu. I will report the exprience with Nippon-Yasan of the Super Parts here when I have received them, but it looks there will be a long time waiting before we get the Super Parts. ;)
