Character Art Appreciaton Thread II

Well in all fairness, those of us who have only seen the beginnings of Macross the First only got to see Misa in "stiff" mode - that is to say, I think Mikimoto is saving her sexy feminine side for later. For now, since it's the beginning, we're being told (via imagery): Minmey: Hot sex doll. Misa: Your 4th grade teacher on crack.

Although I had the hots for my fourth grade english teacher, so .... :p

I'm sure there are plenty, and Gubaba can probably provide a better scan of the one shown here:

I could, but only as three separate pictures. They look GREAT together like that, though. :D

I like how the stripes on her uniform can alternate between green and blue :)

I thought they were blue for a very long time, and kept wondering why Mikimoto colored them green in all his art...then I saw the Japanese remaster of SDFM, and darn it, they ARE green!

I found these three pictures I thought were pretty cool!

^_^

Those are some damn fine pictures you found. Love the 3 songstress with their matching mecha flying overhead.

And while I watched M7 I never though that Mylene was fine, but in the last picture....Pure jailbait!!

oh lovely misa, yeah ive seen that kimono one,i posted a kimono one of misa a few pages back but if there was a full body of her wearing one id love to see it!

i still reckon they should make a new artbook for misa seriously.

Misa can look just as fine as anyone if she gets the right outfit and smiles...

Indeed... this thread is somewhat lacking in Ishtar, so I will provide. Not sure of the source on this one, but it's definitely newer than the material in the official artbooks. Might belong to the Viz non-canon manga sequel Macross II: the Micron Conspiracy, since that's the only place I know of where that particular white and red VF-2JA paintjob appears. I'd check it myself, but I'm posting from the office.

That picture is from the 1997 Macross Calendar I believe. There was one page each from Macross TV, DYRL, II, Plus, 7 and VF-X

Now if that's true then it's just downright WEIRD. I've never seen ANY publication use that color scheme for the VF-2JA except the covers of the Micron Conspiracy comics.

Thats not the art everyone is waiting for.

Nice pic Freiflug88,i approve of your edit.

Thanks. There are plenty of Klan Klan edits where it came from. Some are more NSFW then others, but this one was my favorite ;) .

If their is interest for more Klan Klan, rather then simply release a batch of photos with minor edited changes I can bring organization to my mess of photoshop layers and release a photoshop file and a matching gimp file. That way any of you guys can simply the edit together the version that you choose and export at the photo quality that you choose with either photoshop or the freeware gimp.
