There’s a way to make the HUD lines less obvious: 1) use rubbing alcohol to remove the silver paint on the INSIDE of the visor. 2) paint outside of the visor with Tamiya clears (color of your choice and smoke paint). 3) the more Tamiya smoke you apply, the less the visor will be translucent. I kinda got better with each attempt:

They clearly understand Humans are intelligent... but that doesn't necessarily mean they understand English or even care to. Most animals make a variety of noises for communication and with contextual clues a Human can easily tell the calls of a distressed animal from an aggressive one from a hungry one and so on. We make fishing lures that are designed to imitate the movements and sounds of injured prey, we make duck calls designed to imitate the sounds of the mating calls and feeding calls of various duck species. If Humans can figure that out for tons of different animal species on our own planet, a spacefaring species like the Preds can definitely figure out the context behind the sounds we make without needing to actually understand the language and imitate them the same way we do.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0

The Banished Court Magician is still drunkenly stumbling through all the usual "Kicked out of my party but it's OK because I'm godly powerful" story beats. I have to wonder where it's going, because it's already doing the "humbling the jerk who kicked the protagonist out" part and it's not even halfway into the season. Normally that's for the end of the first major multi-volume story arc. - Today

Since a similar scale plastic model goes for $100 these days that is not bad. Not enough room to store it sadly or I would be tempted.

Yeah, I didn’t realize until the rewatch that they were picking up English, even though in the first it was mainly hunting Spanish speakers. The chief in the second kinda surprised me there and I guess in a few more decades, maybe they could learn to have a basic conversation

Congrats! One of all times favs. Wish Yamato had made the color of the actual Valk a couple of shades lighter to match the color of the box, but that's a nit pick...

I liked him in The Patriot, Wing Commander and The Core. RIP, Tchéky Karyo. You will be missed.

I've seen M+ several times, and while it does feel slightly out of synch with the rest of the franchise, I accept it as its' own separate part of the Macross Universe. Yeah, it wasn't originally a part of Macross (I recall it was intended to be a stand-alone thing), but it does serve to fill in aspects of life for people on colony worlds and such. And it was nice to have something that could stand on its' own without cameos from SDFM.

That's the point is it not? It's why we call it the black hole (i.e. Doom scrolling). It sucks you in and works aggressively hard to keep you there. Same topics to continue drawing you down the hole, topics to create anger so that you engage more. The more time you spend THERE the more "engagement" they get from ads, the more data they can mine about YOU, etc. Remember, YOU are the product. You generate money for the social media company by spending time there.

With these options on the table I would recommend Macross 2. To me Macross 2 is much closer to the themes and the tone of the rest of Macross than Plus. Macross Plus, while good in its own right feels to me very disjointed to the rest of the entries and I have an inkling that many fans of Macross got the wrong idea what Macross is about after watching the Robotech version and then Plus (and nothing else). That is not Macross Plus’ fault given that it was not meant to be a Macross title to begin with. Personally I have a much greater appreciation for Macross 7, Frontier and Delta precisely because I didn’t experience the franchise in the SDF —> Plus order.

Even in the first one, the Predator was learning how to speak. Admittedly, a lot of mimicry, but that's how it starts, and by the end it was using it's copy/paste vocabulary appropriately.

Such a good actor. Had a great roll in Addicted to Love with one the greatest one-liners I've ever heard. Awesome in the Patriot and the Core, the man just brought the gravitas!

Still Find it kind of strange that the Hi-Metal R FATTY is the only V.O.T.O.M. marked with a US release, Someone should check the NY Tamashii store next month, to see if it's available there!? Don't want to know at what price though.....😱

^*Yep, felt unrealistic that they’d have to make any kind of decision that quickly. I can point to a very obvious real world comparison, where a country did NOT rush to retaliate before making sure to have all its facts straight first.

Was just doing a silly rewatch of the first couple Predator films and oddly they seem to understand more than I remember. Mostly in the second film where one definitely understands cuss words are tied to horrible things happening and the chief actually seems to know a bit more by telling Danny Glover’s character to take the pistol. Can’t really say that they know enough to order a burger, but by the second movie it does seem like there’s a bit of an attempt to learn English, although hunting is definitely the main priority and like most people on earth, the first thing they really start to learn are the bad words

I kinda thought it was tied more into the movie from the previews, but the movies had him as a clown much further back. I guess the show is more of a based on the story and based on the books wherever it decides however it decides, but more loosely. and this is definitely as show for people that hate children cause
