    Ooh, I like the proportions on this Nu. If and when I do build mine, I'll keep the grey panels white. IMO, there are too may of them and gives a splotchy look I don't particularly care for. There are going to be a TON of aftermarket parts/add-ons for this kit.

    This is such a weird mashup. The plane looks alright from the top, but then that's generally the favored view of the majority of Takara's jetformer designs to draw attention away from the bottom where all the unseemly robot kibble is placed. It's noteworthy that no profile or bottom shots of the plane are shown. The bot mode, as well, is showing the compromises from trying to mash together two incongruous designs. It'll be neither VF-19 nor Optimus but an odd Frankenstein's Monster of the pair.

    @Chas Thanks. It was a fun one. I need to get the sister kit. Could be nice pair of bookends to the Gerwalk once it’s finished. You are so right about it being easier to just burnish/sand off misaligned or wonky details and just remake them. It will be so much cleaner in the end. I also started putting .3mm pieces of pla in hard to reach places to cover up seams inside heels or elbow armor recesses etc... It’s magic and so simple. The SDF-1 is looking great! Excited to see it take shape. 😊 Is the decal sheet enormous?

    Delayed until next summer. Jet mode actually looks good (at least from the top. Bot mode is... well, it's a mix of the Fire Valk and Optimus Prime. What's interesting is that it's got a stage that appears to turn into a trailer. Secret truck mode?

    Next Decoction Model: Noblesse Oblige. It's not White Glint but not at all a bad choice. Also, my Aaliyah came in today. Still messing with it but already I'm a bit disappointed that a $400 figure can have QC issues with paint like this... I'll have more to write later.

    @Papa RatI think the route your taking could very likely end up being less work than trying to do it any other way. Good work on that M. Lover by the way. Reminds me that I have a pair to finish myself. Got to the base coat on Maiee's machine then had to put it away. I should get them done. @nightmareB4macross I continue to salivate at all of the updates on that epic 1:55 rebuild. "We can rebuild him. We have the technology. We can make him better than he was. Better, faster, stronger." Any way over here the base colours are on the Hase SDF-1.
