  2. Next Decoction Model: Noblesse Oblige. It's not White Glint but not at all a bad choice. Also, my Aaliyah came in today. Still messing with it but already I'm a bit disappointed that a $400 figure can have QC issues with paint like this... I'll have more to write later.
  3. Woo hoo! Cannot wait! I've been checking weekly for the release.
  4. Some more pics of the moderoid from taghobby I didn’t realize it would have that much glove detail
  5. @Papa RatI think the route your taking could very likely end up being less work than trying to do it any other way. Good work on that M. Lover by the way. Reminds me that I have a pair to finish myself. Got to the base coat on Maiee's machine then had to put it away. I should get them done. @nightmareB4macross I continue to salivate at all of the updates on that epic 1:55 rebuild. "We can rebuild him. We have the technology. We can make him better than he was. Better, faster, stronger." Any way over here the base colours are on the Hase SDF-1.
  6. Pretty much. All they really need the studio for would be interiors for the castle or the palace or snake mountain. Other than that, there’s plenty of great locations outside of the city. And they wouldn’t even need to block traffic or anything
  7. @SteveTheFish It’s the IMAI Orguss Gerwalk
  8. Which kit is this again?
  9. Today
  10. Yes, because the film was practically only released with the money from one of the producers' pockets. Since they didn't have any more money from the budget for it. So much so that they tried to make it cheaper by using Earth as the location and very tight shots. But because of that, we were lucky (or not) to have Van Damme's Cyborg 🤣
  11. It was between that and He-Boi! I know, right? Just go film around Vasquez Rocks and do a matte painting of the castle in the distance. Done!
  12. Holy crap, it actually looks like an aircraft! Underside will be where all of the garbage is kept, obviously, and you can tell it's still a a pretty chunky block underneath, but still better than I expected them to pull off. If we even get the opportunity to pick one up, I might do it, just for the luls.
  13. Yesterday
  14. I get that feeling as well. I didn’t mind the old school fight of the week plot device, but it did start feeling a little same old same old after the last episode. It was nice to get a break here and I get the feeling that after next episode the show is gonna be on a new course
  15. I never thought Dolph Lundgren would have been referred to as He Bro Honestly, I remember the cartoon in mostly desolate settings. I get the feeling that the animators were trying to save some cash as well and only occasionally had a forest or ocean setting. I think most of it could easily be filmed in the desert or maybe even an area with mountain settings. Then all you gotta worry about are the castle sets
  16. Saw it today, and really liked it. It was a fun ride with good characters, which was a good driver for most of it seeing as the villain came off... Despite that, I give this 7.5/10. Now bring on the Fantastic Four!
  17. Deciding to just file off some small details and rebuild them post seam removal. Like the ribs on the back of the “knee”. Adding to panels that sort of just round into the shin that had no defined edge. Smaller panels on feet and other areas. Maybe it’s extra work but feels like it will look better in the end.
  18. Saw the first trailer today while in to see Thunderbolts* and it was thankfully the one without Krypto using a badly wounded Supes as a trampoline.
  19. My thoughts too. It's cheaper to film in the 'real world,' but that can also cheapen the plot far too much. There was another fantasy movie done quite a while ago, He-Bro(?), I think, or something like that anyway, where that made it just fall flat. When I think of He-Man, I think of another world and fantastic settings, not, 'oh look, another hero comes to Earth again...'
  20. I watched Excel Saga episode 22 last night. I was laughing so hard I almost fell out of bed. As a Space Battleship Yamato and Harlock fan this episode was great. When I saw the Comet at 5:00 I screamed. It is the White Comet Empire. Then the Arcadia shows up I am thinking where is Yamato. I glad we at least saw the ship on the manual Excel had. I also like the RX-78 and Emeraldas appearing too. Weird seeing the Arcadia using the Wave motion gun.
