  2. Still Find it kind of strange that the Hi-Metal R FATTY is the only V.O.T.O.M. marked with a US release, Someone should check the NY Tamashii store next month, to see if it's available there!? Don't want to know at what price though.....😱
  3. ^*Yep, felt unrealistic that they’d have to make any kind of decision that quickly. I can point to a very obvious real world comparison, where a country did NOT rush to retaliate before making sure to have all its facts straight first.
  4. Was just doing a silly rewatch of the first couple Predator films and oddly they seem to understand more than I remember. Mostly in the second film where one definitely understands cuss words are tied to horrible things happening and the chief actually seems to know a bit more by telling Danny Glover’s character to take the pistol. Can’t really say that they know enough to order a burger, but by the second movie it does seem like there’s a bit of an attempt to learn English, although hunting is definitely the main priority and like most people on earth, the first thing they really start to learn are the bad words
  5. I kinda thought it was tied more into the movie from the previews, but the movies had him as a clown much further back. I guess the show is more of a based on the story and based on the books wherever it decides however it decides, but more loosely. and this is definitely as show for people that hate children cause
  6. Congratulations! Love this scheme. This is a hole in my collection but I'm just not willing to shell out the current prices for it.
  7. Agree with most of the sentiments here. Forums feel more like home, other platforms are like hanging out at a club in which there are just lots of noise, distractions & no lasting memories. +1000. I was just thinking last week FB algorithms have gotten much, much more aggressive in the past month or so. Rather have diverse topics served to me rather than the same stuff over and over and over again.
  8. Anyone interested in a NEW Premium Finish VF-0D Valk? I'm selling one
  9. The same eagle toy is $330 stateside here: https://www.zicatoys.com/eagle-1976-mattel-edition/ Zica is the manufacturer. The Gerry Anderson site upcharges everything.
  10. Just watched A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE. Overall, a good film, minus the ending. The ending gave me the following reaction:
  11. <insert nosebleed gif> Still waiting for Mai's OG outfit for this game.
  12. Much, much prefer forums. For reasons. This hits the nail squarely on the head. I've been in two workplaces where everything was in a single WhatsApp/Discord/GoogleChat topic in the past year. It was a real chore to find important info. Why would I want to do that in my free time? Also—and this is something that I love about message boards—you don't have to read every single comment in every conversation to keep up on things. E.g. I'm not interested in sales, so I don't visit that part of these forums very often. However, it's AWESOME that we have that section, as there are plenty of members who only come here for that. ↑ THIS! It just eats so much time if one isn't VERY careful. And invariably what you're being shown gets 💩ier and 💩ier. ... and that's the best reason: relationships are so much deeper on message boards! Definitely hang out with any of you. In fact, when you visit Osaka, we should go for a Macross-themed drink at FirebomBAR*!! * https://firebombar.com/
  13. Very sad. 140 movie credits to his name, though most were french based. I'll remember the first time I saw him in Wing Commander, then later in The Patriot.
  14. Functionally-graded materials are pretty common in nature... skin, bones, teeth, and tendons are just a couple examples. Considering the Protoculture's great fondness for imitating biology in their technology, it's surprisingly appropriate that the materials they use to do so would also imitate life. (At least, the ones that aren't out-and-out alive like the Evil-series weapons and other examples of their biotechnology.)
  15. Eh... the different flavors of social media all have their own ideal use-cases. Message boards are definitely the superior option when it comes to building a community around a single specific topic or an interrelated group of topics like a specific hobby, special interest, skill, or fandom. It's easier to share large volumes of information on a message board and they're more searchable than successor formats like subreddits. The one area where the message board is still alive and well is the corporate world. So many companies with multiple internal message board systems for different operating areas... so much so that Microsoft Teams even built a message board system into itself for corporate/professional users. Facebook, Twitter, and their various imitators are mainly for online small talk and are terrible venues to try and have an in-depth discussion of anything. They're good for advertising, for gossip, and for incidental daily life nonsense but not much else. Interactions there, and on video-centric options like Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube, etc. are structured around reacting rather than discussing, so they don't really encourage conversation.
  16. Here , Here! I have been on Instagram for about 2 years but haven't been on for about 4 months now. I've found that it just sucks so much time and I really want to be producing more content (models , art , costumes, electronics and building projects ) than I'm consuming. There are a lot of cool, funny, awesome things going on Instagram but also a ton of garbage and crap. This forum is literally the only thing i do now. And i am eternally grateful to have such a resource . And i know i could hang out with any of you just based on our common interests.

  22. That's interesting, if you replaced DHL with UPS you would have summed up my problems where I live.
  23. THAT is exactly what I am talking about.
  24. Just got hit with an additional $27.34 import duties on top of the DHL shipping above. DHL sent the invoice. OTOH, I get it Monday.
