THANK YOU WAVE!!!! now if it doesn't cost $50 per kit that'd be extra sweet, but either way, they're getting my money for multiples!!

Thom 384
WootWoot!! The poor 171 has been much maligned and little represented. Real cool to see a 1/72 kit coming along! Guess I'll be buying even more Macross. Hope they follow up with a radome-version! And yeah, let's hope they don't do like they did with the VF-4. Cool they offered a kit with a weapons set, but NOT cool that they stopped selling the one without! Edited October 29, 2020 by Thom
Urashiman 31
100% Gonna buy! Awesome!
Convectuoso 358
I hope they release a Battroid version too, so they can be combined for Gerwalk mode Edited October 29, 2020 by Convectuoso

TMBounty_Hunter 55
The text does say 2021, so assuming the calendar doesn't just roll back to start of 2020 as the clock hits midnight, shouldn't be too far away. I was honestly contemplating collecting reference for a scratchbuild the past few months. Usually these announcements come AFTER you start a project just to spite you. Given how the year's gone, I wouldn't dismiss the possibility. Just reset the cursed countdown clock, like in 1408.

Dobber 335
Wow this is awesome! Wave seems to be our savior when it comes to new models. Hasegawa seems to just be in the re-pop business now. Chris

Too bad it's not Hasegawa though. #1 because the detailing would be more delicate, #2 because knowing Hasegawa, we could look forward to some cool variations and different unit decal repops down the road. But still, I'll take what I can get. I guess we're getting at least 2 boxings out of this? The blue-green one and the beige one?
Chronocidal 472
Having bought a few of the VF-4 kits, I can't honestly say the detailing is bad at all, but the shape was a bit awkward, having been flattened vertically in terms of the angles of the wings and tails. What I do wish they would do is stop posting isometric views of their CAD models, because that is a terrible way to advertise. It distorts the shape horribly in almost every way, making the model look misshapen from the get-go.
KOG Water Dragon 10
The Wave VF-4 is all we have for now so I'm not complaining. But I did think the panel lines were a bit thicker, the details a little less refined, compared to Hasegawa VFs. Did anyone make a PE detail set for the VF-4?

TMBounty_Hunter 55
Presumably we'll get some update during Wonderfest Winter 2021, which was supposed to be a physical event on Feb 7th but due to COVID has been changed to an online event.
