Thanks Derex.

I'm not a good photographer, but clearly the daylight photos don't work. I need to make the video in the evening time.

The actual color looks more like this.

And we are DONE.

Please enjoy my Macross show. Hope you have as much fun as I did making it.

Comments and feedback welcome (except about one little musical choice :D).

Thanks for all your support along the way. Couldn't have done it without you.

MW member Darkspire17 reached out to me. He isolated the original SDF Macross sound effects which I used in the build, timed with the guns and engine. He has lots of other sounds on youtube if you need them.

Darkspire17 said,

Hello, ive just come to say im very flattered that you used the audio from one of my old videos for your project ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2lT5Ezj8YM  :) it's nice to know that ive at least influenced someone with the work i do. Id also like to say you did a FANTASTIC job with your partial flight deck, id love to build one for myself someday!  If you would like some more of the sound effects, i can provide them.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is what is known as a museum quality display.

Incredible work, Arbit!!!

I don't bother posting much anymore, but this?....

You need to feel proud of what you did here arbit, because as Kup said, "You've done an amazing job lad, AMAZING!"

Even got big ups from the master 'MechTech' himself!

Thanks claude, Glad to wake you from lurk mode!

It is a special project to me, kind of like "every kid's day dream".

But I don't feel proud, because I see all the amazing modelers out there, and I know I am not at their level.

But I am really happy that I pulled it off for me and Macross fans to see.

As long as you can transfer dreams to reality to YOUR liking, then that's all that matters my friend.

When things normalize again, God willing, enter it in some modeling shows and see if you don't get surprised.

I know you'll improve with time, but your current level ain't nothing to sneeze at; trust me on this.

Was that a subtle TFTM refference? ;)

Finally finished a gimmick I was planning on. This is for the 12-year old boy inside all of us :D.

I almost didn't do this because I ran out of bluetooth controls on my Arduino setup, but I figured that an old-school switch is just as cool!

The set-up is a reversing DPDT switch, with two limit switches. The red and blue control lights are also linked to the DPDT diagram.

I'm using 2x N20 3v motors, which go in opposite directions to open the hatch. When the doors open, they ht a switch to turn on the cola machine.

...And just when you thought it couldn't get any better! This is totally AWESOME!!! It's like the Macross World version of those baby toys with all the buttons and zippers on them for kids to play with. I suddenly want a Petit Cola with my lunch! - MT

Just rewatched your opening video but with the Topgun Opening music playing.... much better... try it

Thanks NZEOD. I got you covered. Top Gun is locked and loaded just for you.

Once I figure out lighting this thing, I plan to reshoot it with Macross and Top Gun versions (once new movie comes out).

I also have one more diorama gimmick planned, because I have space at the front wall and a few new tricks to try.

...And I need to weather all the sides.

Looks more.likely than you think since your fantastic build ended up in FSM. Hiding light under a bushel Arbit?

Congrats man!

Thanks for sharing Brett.

I was totally unaware of that. Which issue is it?

Many months back, a guy on FSM forum suggested I submit it online. So I did. But I never heard anything about it until you pointed it out.

So Macross got a full page on FSM! How likely is that? Awesome dude!
