That sounds great as a reference, can you share any link or is it only a Japanese / paper reference?

It's a somewhat hard-to-come-by limited printing doujinshi, and I don't believe it's been scanned by anyone thus far.

Copies occasionally turn up on Mandarake or Yahoo Japan auctions.

I can try to use Office Lens to scan the relevant pages this weekend.  Right now my study's all torn up while the carpets are being replaced, so I can't get to the bookshelves.

@Xigfrid @Seto Kaiba

 I have digital version of that doujinshi book 1

I've got multiple print copies of FANKY's whole Macross doujinshi series, but I've done very little scanning since the translators here tend to avoid distributing scans for various reasons.

And I have found the second book of that doujinshi on a porn website, XD

lol, I know precisely the scan you mean. :rofl:

It's a surprisingly good source for (worksafe) anime-themed periodicals too even if the site itself isn't safe for work.

I hadn't seen any scans in circulation of the first fleet book until you posted that, and I've seen nothing for the 3rd fleet book and the first book in the series.

OT: I haven't done any translations per se, but I've used the specs from those Dojinshi in some of my RPG stats.  Currently it's limited to only some of the Zentrādi ships.  Nevertheless, for those that don't have access to the Dojinshi, it does provide some insight on Fanky’s revisions for the other ships: http://sdfyodogawa.mywebcommunity.org/Stats/Statistics.php#Zentraedi_Ships

(the 3 links with circles [not bullets] in the 100+ m Sized section.  The BLUE text marked with (Dojinshi) in the stats comes from Fanky.)

Nice model so far, @Xigfrid. I don't think I'd ever want to attempt to make any of the Macross ships in 3D myself, mostly because of the scaling issues with the official stats compared to the feats seen on screen, since a lot of the ships simply don't have anywhere near the volume needed for the scenes as animated to make sense.... unless "Super Dimension Technology" means "we can make it bigger on the inside like a TARDIS!" and has since the beginning...

(Relevant examples being how Macross City's main street, which looks longer than the actual ship's official length, fits into just the leg sections; how the Stargazer managed to squeeze in anything *else* on top of the 37 VFs it's seen launching, such as "engines" or "crew quarters"; where the "Queadluun-Rhea standing room" hangars are on the Macross Quarter's ARMD-L; the weird issue where we can visually scale the Aether to be at least 850-900 meters long based on the known size of the VF-31, but the whole Macross Elysium is shorter than that offically; and of course "where did they fit a *Monster* on the Asuka II?")

It almost has me convinced that whoever makes the specs up for the chronicle are out to troll everyone. :)
