I have put a poll up with some proposed deadline extensions but also the option to not extend it. My airbrush set up is outdoors right now, so i haven't been able to matt finish and apply water slides. So close! Could use some more detail and finish work, but it can also be like icing a cake, lol. So here it is. Apologies for my lack of lighting and photography skills. I will be posting more pics of this and past work on , as well as my finishing touches. This is my first resin kit and it's been very satisfying so far. My only gripe with this beautiful kit is the oversized shoulders have an extruded rectangular-ish piece that fits into the side body and reduces the normal Hasegawa range of movements for the arms. The piece fills gaps nicely and looks good, but i would rather have more range of motion. Guess i could modify it, but I'm gonna focus on total completion first. The kit also came with these, which are baffling me.. these appear to be printed onto a thick clear plastic sheet with a protective sheet stapled onto it. The printing isn't on a film that slides off the thick plastic sheet. Rather they appear to be printed directly on the sheet..They aren't acting like typical water slides. Sanity is Optional Posted December 19, 2019 Share Posted December 19, 2019 I think those are dry transfers, you tape the transfer sheet down at one end where the marking will be in position, and then rub it and the marking transfers to the model. Lol many of the dry rub transfers were difficult and flaked off, some came out ok. Maybe it was just me Here's some of the dry transfers ( small white print) and water slides added too. Bolt Posted January 3, 2020 Author Share Posted January 3, 2020 (edited) Here's a few more pics with water slides and dry rubs. I've been using Tamiya Mark Fit. I like this product a lot. But i think some of these water slides are quite old. There out of a binder of various @Anasazi37water slides i bought off a fellow MW'er several years ago. They were around for a while before that, I believe. Maybe age isn't a factor, but i found some of the edges lifting or curling a bit, even with the Mark Fit. The newer Hasegawa water slides were a breeze. Anyhow , I'm sure my lack of expertise is also a factor ... note the AKB is airbrush stenciled , touched up by hand.
