Not a placeholder, they started pre-orders on the 1st for some reason and are apparently already sold out.

it's a place holder.  (Sep. 3, 2018 Pre-order start.)

are you referring to this part at their title?

Metal Build Evangelion Unit-01 (Completed) preorders will start after PM4:00 of 1st September, Japan time[GMT+9]

since preorder starts on the 3rd. what they say is also true since it is AFTER September 1st.  lol:lol:

Am I confused or the preorder starts in 30 minutes more?

3 PM Japanese time, which would be 2 AM Eastern. Just a bit under an hour and a half if amiami's time is right.

Well, it also shows it as "reservations closed" and someone on MFC was saying they'd already opened and sold out. I'd be happy to be wrong, but if nothing else the confusion between title and release date info is kind of odd.

I asked because on the Amiami site says

Sep 03, 2018, 02:00 ~ Japan Time

Which I thought mean 2 pm Japan time and on my celphone the world clock says its 1:40 on Tokyo

That's... huh. That's real weird. It shows 03:00 ~ Japan Time for me.

It could be that it's showing time on your local time zone, not Japan time. Mine shows 01:00 which is correct if we follow 1600 Japanese time (I'm on Mountain time)

the time is wrong on amiami.. it's not the japan time.  I think it supposes to show your local time.

for me it Shows Sales Period Sep 03, 2018, 00:00 ~ Japan Time

which is when preorder will start at my local pacific time. .  ignoring the japan time at the end.

Yup, it was a placeholder because now they have updated the preorder date.

Yeah, same here Noel. Amiami page is saying not found.

Is HLJ going to carry this? I don't see any Metal Builds in their product list.

They do carry Metal Builds but they are all sold out so they will not show up in a regular search.
