You guys think Michelle Pfeiffer and Christopher Walken will show up for a reunion? Honestly, seriously--I hope so. How could Walken in a circus NOT be great? Chronocidal
So, after seeing this trailer before Captain Marvel, I'm cautiously optimistic. Looks like it has a lot of potential, and I think reworking the story from the ground up was probably the best way to go in this case. You can keep the base setting and reference the original, without relying on talking animals and outdated/offensive stereotypes.
jvmacross
Just wacthed it with the kids... it is definitely one that I would have been fine streaming at some later point... Like most Tim Burton's films...everything goes to sh!t in the third act before things get straightened out....cute ending, but no idea how they get a part two out of it without going straight to video...but I'm sure Disney is already working on it! I came out of this movie thinking it was mostly a live-action Disney film based on the "Dumbo ride" more than anything else....with just a few things thrown in from the animated classic just because the material was available (unlike the POTC and HM movies)....heck...they even threw in Timothy...sort of... Unless you are taking your kids to this movie....I would suggest to just wait and stream it...
