Good news! The files for the 1/48 VF-1A/J/S DTRL Canopy (Part N1) have been finalised and will include inner and outer masks. I just have to print up some labels and get cutting. With some luck these should be hitting the streets in a week or two tops!

I have packets ready so I guess this means that the 1/48 scale VF-1 masking sets are officially in production!

These 48 scale sets use double the masking material but are only priced 50% more. Each set is AUD $8.25 incl postage within Australia. International orders need to add a flat AUD$3.00 regardless of how many sets are ordered.

Anyone interested can send me a pm here or at returntokitform@gmail.com.

Cheers,

Brett

Sorry team. Was testing these but have quit modelling for the last 6 weeks plus after my daughter got hit on her motorbike and hospitalised. Back in the game now. Sorry to let you all down by not completing the testing in time

No no no no no, no sorry. I've had my own fair share of family in bad situations entirely of someone else's doing, so I'd have some choice words for the person who hit your daughter. I hope she's recovering well, and you're doing well too.

Thanks arbit! Was that via ebay a few days ago? If so they have been sent and I will refund some of the excess postage as well when I get back home.

No need for a refund. It's a fair price. Thx.

Hi Brett, these look great! I’m getting ready to move cross country, so I don’t want to put in an order until I get settled at my new address. Do you expect to keep these around as a regular production item, or will you have to move on to other things eventually? Thanks!

We will be carrying them for the foreseeable future - we've got you covered ;)

There will has been and will continue to be a delay with the VE/VT-1 canopy masks due the Kamjin kit being moved up the schedule...and the fact that I don't have a canopy to use for development like I thought I did. Oops.

In other news our canopy masks are now available at HLJ woohoo!

Cheers,

Brett

Update: The 1/48 TV style canopy (part N-8) mask set cutting file is complete as is the 1/72 scale VF-1D. The sets themselves won't be available for a few weeks yet as I juggle things between work which has been busy.

I am thinking of doing the VF-4 next but are there any suggestions for what should be next after that?

Cheers,

Brett

I highly recommend these. Got the cleanest finish ever on my 1/72 VF-1.

No nightmare of cutting my own mask and scratching the canopy, no finger smuges from repeated handing, no problems at all.20190629_010650.thumb.jpg.0b46b3038d46e6a88bc99646f98665a2.jpg
