Sorry if this is an old question that was answered long ago, but has anyone used the TV SDF-1 Storm Attacker parts to build a more accurate TV Cruiser mode? Are aftermarket parts available?

Chris

if aftermarket parts are available, I need a set or two!

Holy Crap! Are TV Storm Attacker kits hard to find now, and the ones that are available are ridiculously expensive. Especially, if you want to just use it for just a few parts. I’m guessing, despite someone saying they would make or recast the new parts, it was never done? :(

I've had problems finding a decent price on that kit as well.

Why didn’t we ever get a Chronos YF-30 in 1/72?

Well, BandaiNamco published Macross30, so we should pester them about it!

Chris

I was looking for a TV Storm Attacker to build a transform for and make a transformable kit, much like the current smaller Arii one that I have.

Finally! Main set just about complete.

Just need Walkure VF-31E and VF-31S for that set to be complete too. And I'm sure they are coming.

Too bad Bandai never did the VF-31E...

I assume you mean a 1/72 model kit? Yeah, that and a 1/72 VF-31A would be great for kitbashing.

Yes that is what I mean. I don't collect VFs in anything but 1/72 or 1/48. They skipped the VF-31E (and A) in the 1/72 transformable series and that bums me out.

Wow, the -31S hasn't come out yet? I could've sworn it already did...

But man alive, that Kaname box art looks so frakking gorgeous.

Question as I never watched Delta (heard too many bad things about it)  How is the 31’s name pronounced? Is it like it looks or with a Germanic like pronunciation? Or is  the spelling an “Engrish” thing?

The correct german pronunciation would be something like "Zeekfreet".

Dang. I've been saying it in my head as 'seegfreed'.

Oh crap that’s right it’s the Segfreid (spelling) Then what’s with the Walkure stuff written on the colorful 31’s. That’s what I was asking about....Walkure pronunciation. Germanic or Engrish?

Also, what’s with the girls associated with each 31. Are they the pilots or something else? Are these colorful 31’s something like Macross 7’s Fire bomber?

In the opening episode, each member of the idol group Walkure is escorted by a corresponding member of Delta Squadron, with each member of Delta having a unique variant of the VF-31. This ostensibly carries on through the rest of the show, but it doesn't ever really come up again.

The colorful kits reflect this relationship. So the Kaname-themed VF is a VF-31F, the Makina one is a VF-31C, and presumably a Mikumo/Reina/Freyja one would be a VF-31S/E/J, respectively.

I don't know. I really don't like those oversaturated artwork in a fighter plane/robot. Give more new molds (vf-17S), more 1/48 kits (vf-21, vf-11) to complete M+ for example.

No more Delta stuff please!!!!

I disagree. We still need Super VF-31s from Hasegawa. More Delta please. I wouldn't mind some itasha style artwork versions as well.

The cool thing about models is you can paint them however you please. Totally easy to make your own grey on grey versions if that's what you fancy.

Agree and agree...

I'd be OK with new stuff from Delta: supers, armored, etc., etc., but I'd be also great to see a departure from the -31 and the Sv-262 stuff, and see some focus put on fresh out-of-CAD products (i.e. VF-171s, -17s, -29, armored -25s, tornadoed -25s, etc., etc.). Just my 2 personal cents...

Considering the new Delta movie that’s going to be coming, expect more Delta variations. Though not all will be 31-Siegfried’s.. 262 variants and Kairos variants and hopefully some surprises..;)

I'd be very happy with VF-17, VF-171, Armored VF-1, Armored VF-25, Armored VF-31... and 1/48 versions of YF-21, VF-11, even VF-25 and VF-31. Sadly I don't think those are very likely right now.

My big big dream is Hasegawa VF-2SS, but that's even less likely.

Hey, was there a re-issue announcement for the YF-19 25th Anniversary Color kit? HLJ has them on backorder right now, and I placed an order, though I don't know if they've just marked it at that status because of all the other re-issues lately. I didn't see anything on the Hasegawa calendars, but I may have missed it.

Actually it's also from the opening animation from the Walkure 3rd Live concert where the girls are walking to custom 31s of which they are aligned to each depending on their roles/relationships. Relationships explain Freya to the 31J (Hayate's) and Kaname to the 31F (Messer's) while role adds to (most likely) Mikumo for the 31S (Arad being the leader) and Reina to the 31E (being the groups electronic expert) with Makina either being the fill in or just attaching both best girl of the idol group and pilot groups, that being Mirage so the 31C.

So is Walkure supposed to be pronounced like Valkyrie, vALLk-your-ie, vALLk-your, or WALK-your-ie?

Just curious why the change of spelling or the possible Germanic influence.

Ah yes, completely forgot about that. That's where the Valks were actually colored as they are on these special color kits, right?
