Human size like a 1/1 vf?

I think there are a couple 1/6 or similar sized vfs. One transforms and the others are statues. I can't remember where they were posted but some googling should find them.

Hello All.  I'm a newb to the forum, and this question may have been posted before.

If a toy manufacturer made a giant Macross/Robotech figure, what would you want to see made?  Mecha or Character?

Welcome to the forums. To answer your question, since it's Macross, then it should be the Valkyries. So a life-size Valkyrie display would be nice to see. And there has been a life-size display of the VF-25F shown in some shows and life-size of VF-1 cockpit before in Japan. Some googling for those picture might help since we can't keep track everything posted in here. You can also use rhe Search function above. Hope that helps.

So, for quick questions like this, you can post it here:

For any Macross figure related or also questions related to it, you can check this thread too:

I've seen the transforming VF-1S at last year's Shanghai Comic, and this awesome VF-1S in gerwalk mode at another convention in Japan.

I mentioned human scale, because Macross/Robotech isn't limited to just the mecha.  Someone also mentioned they'd like to see a life-size Miriya or Misa.  Some of my friends said they wanted a life-sized Minmay.   Sadly, unless we had access to the treasury.  It'd be impossible to build to a life-size SDF-1, thus "Human-size".  More specifically ranging from 5feet to 6feet 5inches.  or for folks on the metric system, 150cm to 190cm.

Froy, I remember those too and I have also tried to find images of them, but with no luck. They were about the size of a human, IIRC.

Edit: They were called "Super Scale" and was 1/12, about 150 cm tall. Found an image here:

Thanks for the link.  I completely forgot about those.  Well, technology has advanced a lot in these past 15 years.  According to another forum, they were around $3000 at the time.  I wonder if people would be willing to pay that amount for better versions.

Since prices are mentioned for certain old figures like what was posted above. The real question is going to be is who's willing to pay for a life/human size figure of a niche mecha/character? How many are willing to buy it? And how many are actually going to buy it? And do you have the room for it?

The best example here right now is the KidsLogic 1/6th scale VF-1J Cockpit/Speaker. How many of us here including 'guest' did actually ordered one? Remember that this is just a 1/6th scale and not some life/human size display. And the price is already at $1500 without shipping. So let's say that certain life/human size figure is roughly at $3000, how much do you think the shipping is going to be and is this something that's articulated or just static 'hollow' figure just like being displayed at conventions?

And if this is going to end like a poll topic, then my vote is NO. And my reason is I rather save that $3000 and buy lots of toys instead of just one non-moving figure.
