Thanks! Hopefully it turns out alright.

The new nose with the blue line is sexier! And ouch I can imagine that hurts to dissemble them once painted... Thankfully these parts are not visible and don't need to be repaint in the correct scheme!

Unfortunately the part I was talking about is visible and the earlier pic wasn't clear. Here are both of the parts for each of them. The one for the C with the indents is mounted while the other one is for the B without the indent. This was taken after I resprayed the colors.

Not too much done today. I redid those parts, created the UN MARINE Font and made a stencil for the gunpod and sprayed it, did the smaller 00 in the front and sprayed the leg fins blue. Those small 00 are a pain. I wish someone made these decals for 1/60. Next thing is to create the VMFAT-203 for the legs and do the other side of the gunpod.

Almost at the home stretch! I finished the stencils on the leg fins and legs. I also painted the intakes white as much as I could since I don't know how to remove the blades. I'm gonna do the other side of the gunpod inverted, blend the greys on the bottom of the tailfins and spray the arms and head. Here are some pics of where it's currently at:

With the correct chest undersides for the winglets:

Thanks for the offers but both of these babies have already reserved spaces taken up by my old Yamato VF-0s (I'll probably just do custom paint jobs on those).

Spanner: I bet if you gave Lancelot a VF-0D and VF-0A he could do it better.

Xigfrid: Before deciding on the Master files VF-8 scheme I was gonna do a VF-101 grim reapers scheme but changed my mind.

Tidying up here and there. Sprayed the valk TS-80 Flat clear to tone down the gloss. Reassembled everything back together. Will paint the pilot and decal next then do a proper photo shoot later on.

Don't mind the crooked missile pods. I'll redo the bases so it fits better.

I might redo the head laser to match the grey.

Brilliant!  :clapping:

Proof that Arcadia is just not trying hard enough.

Seriously, how much would it cost to reach out to Hasegawa for a joint venture on this and their VF-0B paint scheme?

The precedent is already there with the Anniversario VF-1J....

Someone tweet Trump to help negotiate a deal for Arcadia.....it'll be great!

I will for the photo shoot. I'll have all 3 modes for both of them.  I already was moving all the parts around to see if there would be any rubbing. The only parts I see are the backpack area and shoulder plates. That Tamiya spray is pretty tough. Tougher than the acrylic one.

Definitely agree. I usually end up over sanding those parts when I do custom stuff, but you're already on top of it. That's great. Can't wait to see the final photos. These make me wish I bought extra D and A variants. That said, I take it you only needed one of each to do both variants, or was there extra valks used?

Although that certainly looks striking, why would the landing gear be yellow for any practical reason?

I've seen odd colored under carriage on a fighter before but for the life of me I can't remember which one it was nor the reason for it..

It is definitely odd.  Usually the colour is chosen so leaks and problems are easy to spot.  And it's painted in the first place in order to prevent corrosion and wear.  I guess Yellow would work, in that respect.

I think it's because a Hawk's 'main gear' are also yellow.
