WOOOOOO my Sazabi has shipped. Will do a review on it

Please post when you can. I ordered it myself, but they stated I didn't make the "cut off." They did say I will get in the second batch in March. Little peeved, but that's okay.

Anyone want got an extra http://www.hobbymission.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=563

I ordered it from Hobby Mission as it stated it was available, but they refunded me and let me know that was NOT the case. At least I got the refund. Would rather have the fig in all honesty.

I cant afford the Tamashi version of a lot of these models, but they look amazing all the same.

here ya go @sqidd

I am starting to like these third party renditions of Gundams. Besides I think I have caught up to most of what I wanted from Macross last year. THAT was an expensive year.

My copy also shipped. So far I've only seen one isolated report that the joint was missing from the waist on their copy of Sazabi. Otherwise, they seem to be coming out well. I'm still hoping they changed the LED to yellow or green on the final version.

Good thing I checked this thread. Almost forgot to pay my Sazabi. ;)

I'm still thinking if I should also get the Sinanju. Looks too metallic to display it with Sazabi.

I paid for my copy on the 18th of December, and was told that I didn't make the cut off for the first batch and I will have to wait until the second release in March

Can I ask when did you place your preorder? I placed mine last October. And just paid now. I'm assuming I might receive the same March email soon. Oh well.

It was the same day on the 18th of December. I did reach out to them and they said that I didn't make the cut off on the full payment , but that I would be getting the second iteration of the figure.

I'm new to show Z website and have a couple orders that have been shipped within the last week. Those are my first orders from the place. But they seem pretty reputable. I wish I would have found out about him at the beginning of last year when I was starting to get back into collecting Macross. I probably would have adjusted a few purchases.

And if anybody has any reputable sites that sell third-party Gundam metal builds please let me know

Thanks @no3Ljm. I purchased from Hobby Mission but was refunded today. Tried to get the orange Hiene Destiny with orange light wi gs. It's still listed as "in stock" , but I now know it is not.

Regardless they seem reputable, so I'll be doing business with them for the others I dont have.

You're welcome. :good:

I actually ended up ordering earlier a WuMing Freedom for just $84 shipped to US. Cheaper than the upcoming MuscleBear Freedom. ^_^

okay so maybe someone can clarify for me...The differences between the 2...I mean as in material/make...not type

https://showzstore.com/pre-order-metal-club-mc-xingying-model-xy-1-100-gn-001-hs-a01-gundam-avalanche-exia-exia-gundam-metal-build-mb-complete-model_p1514.html

vs.

https://showzstore.com/pre-order-musclebear-1-100-gn-001-exia-r2-r3-metal-build-style_p0896.html

I see both listed as MC/Metal Build. BUT One states ABS Plastic, Die Cast the other states Die Cast, ABS plastic...So is one just a metal frame with ABS parts I slap on them while the other is more complete? Sorry for what may be a silly questions.

1/100 Scale Metal Frame Alloy Complete Model (Metal Build Style)
Metal Build style alloy skeleton frame.

Metal Frame Alloy Complete Model (Metal Build Style)
Metal Build style alloy skeleton frame.

They key word is Complete model.    That means it's all build and assemble just like a regular metal build.

Basically,

https://showzstore.com/pre-order-musclebear-1-100-gn-001-exia-r2-r3-metal-build-style_p0896.html

is a KO of

https://tamashii.jp/item/10204/.

But since it's mentioning R2/R3 on the name, it's probably best to assume that it might include the R2 parts that came from

https://tamashii.jp/item/10401/.

And

https://showzstore.com/pre-order-metal-club-mc-xingying-model-xy-1-100-gn-001-hs-a01-gundam-avalanche-exia-exia-gundam-metal-build-mb-complete-model_p1514.html

is a KO mix of

https://tamashii.jp/item/10778/

and

https://tamashii.jp/item/10806/

I just got the 'You can pay your balance' email for Motor Nuclear MN-Q02 (White). I pre-ordered in early September.

For those new to ShowZ, they ship out based on full payments first most of the time. Check their FAQs on the site for more information. Which should mean pay for an item in full if you really, really want to be the first kid on the block with that thing. That being said, I only pre-order...I've never paid in full when an item is listed because it could be two years before it is released. ShowZ has been my primary supplier of toys and I've bought a ton from them and the only time not paying in full has seemed to affect my place in line was for Black Apple Opt Prime.

Two other things of note for new ShowZers:

  1. Large items usually take longer to receive. (I'd estimate 2-4 extra weeks vs smaller packages.)
  2. Prices usually go up shortly before they receive the items. Pre-orders are your friend. (Check out the FAQ for their PO policies for refunds, etc. The gist is you can get a refund as credit once the prices are announced...but I've received credit when asking to cancel in other situations too.)

Thanks for the friendly tips @FattyMoBookyButt. Clears.up a lot. I have 3 items in transit. But the tracking seems solid. And no one here has said negative stuff about Z for me to give pause.

I have 8 things from them on preorder. Just picking slowly apart which ones to pay in full on first.

I'm new to ShowZ. I have three things currently inbound with this shipping company:

https://www.cne.com/english

Their tracking seems a bit.....sketchy. Is that the norm? Do they eventually turn up USPS? If not, who is delivering them? Thanks!

I use https://postal.ninja/en/tracks for tracking because I can add and label shipments and it provides 99.999% of the info that CNE does. It has OAuth login for Google/Facebook so you don't have to create a specific un/pw account. (ShowZ has a CNE popup on their order details page but it only works 20% of the time, I have to go to the CNE URL otherwise and manually enter the number.)

ShowZ has used different shipping companies but most items lately will go through New Jersey and transfer to FedEx "Express" so they still get delivered by USPS. I get emails from FedEx that I have a package coming from 'Dept. NJ # 1169' when the transfer happens. Not 100% sure but I think that's because I have an account setup in FedEx's system with my address, etc.

I'm outside Atlanta, GA and from glancing over some of my archived items on Postal.ninja, small to medium items take less than 2 weeks. Bigger items take a month.

You can use the provided tracking number and check it with USPS site or app after a day or two after it reflects into their system. USPS is usually the one who delivers it at my workplace.

The showz store eventually gets to usps but it takes weeks. They ship to shipping companies here in the states that use services like fedex whatever mail that goes through them and then to usps. Usually for me it takes around 3-4 weeks to receive things.
