Today, while transforming it ti fighter, it noticed bandai screwed up on the tampo on the arm shields. The 05 markings are on the same side of the shield. Shouldn't they be on opposite sides so that they both face outwards in fighter mode? I checked with a few of the pics in this thread and they all seem to be this way. Homemade boxes, random delays, etc. I'm usually not in a rush though and I go airmail instead of EMS since they aren't cheap on shipping costs. wm cheng Posted June 3, 2017 Share Posted June 3, 2017 Just picked up my VF-31J Super parts from the Post Office (they arrived Thursday via SAL Registered) - and they got through without Customs & Duties (woohoo for Canadians - that's why I love NY). Really really love these packs, really makes the Battroid mode so nice (and I got these VF-31 for fighter mode only). I wished they were magnetic or had more opening missile bays, but they are nicely articulated and really adds to an already amazing design. The blue scheme is so nice. Now I'm debating on getting it for the black VF-31F - wasn't originally intending too. I wanted a naked fighter mode, but after seeing how nice they are... Highly recommend it! To be fair, they did respond to my shipping issue and resolved it for me so they're not entirely non-responsive. I'm not sure anybody said they're good but they're sometimes the only game in town and for people who live in other countries with ridiculous import fees they'll undervalue or find ways to waive the fees for them. I imagine it's related to the "SWS" markings etc we see----neither the Japanese designers nor Chinese factory workers, are likely to notice that a stylized English font is upside down, or even has any "meaning" and isn't simply a artistic/symbolic marking. iguanaman8989 Posted June 4, 2017 Share Posted June 4, 2017 The placement's the same on the 1/72 kit shield parts, so it's probably supposed to be like that. Thoughts on the eventual DX 31E. The radome will probably have some mildly obnoxious hinges in it, like the 262's shield, so the super parts will probably include a fully opened replacement. I think that's the only gripe about the 262's shield, is that the hinges interrupted the Windermere royal crest. What I do wish they would include is a permanently opened charger pod front. I recall this being asked before and there was a screenshot of the gunpod still hung underneath the 31 with the soundpods on top during launch from the aether.... Whether that was a mistake or not i wasnt sure... Plus didnt hayate/mirage or messer have a gunpod in hand during one of the fights against the drakens in the soundpod episode? Graham Posted June 5, 2017 Share Posted June 5, 2017 Actually, while the show was airing we had a big debate about whether the beamgun pod can still be attached at an alternate location while the speaker packs are equipped, as IIRC, Mirage or maybe one of the other Delta members is shown using the beamgun pod in that asteroid battle episode with the Speaker Pack attached. Graham Posted June 5, 2017 Share Posted June 5, 2017 In the below screen shots from episode 6, you can see the beam-gunpod is somehow still mounted between the legs of the VF-31, even with the Speaker Pack in the deployed position.
