Must be a case of wrong machine translation with using the correct pin. They got it right with the vf-1 kits and there were no QC problem (as I know) for the retail ARMOR parts. This is more for the folks who want to customize their armor or like that black color. The Reactive Armor is really that big. Using a 1/72 part would look really small. Also, the missile pod hatch used on that custom looks closer to the DX than the 1/72 kit version.
