Arcadia 1/60 VF-0S & VF-0A

Yes, the 0D doesn't have much on an ankle tilt. I mentioned that in the 0D thread as one of my issues with it.

Basically, I was questioning why they bothered adding the feature to extend the hip joints for a wider stance when the ankles can't even tilt much to stay level on the ground.

wow! pics a plenty! ^_^ but those skull logo stickers look shockingly bad.. -_- Im hoping these pics are only prototype only and the release version won't look like that. its full of paint scratches so this must be a pre production example.

And I think they could have come up with a better way to attach the engine inlet covers rather than have a big ugly slot cut out just under the fan blades.. Good thing I always keep the covers on even in fighter mode!

Also those leg winglets are a grey color with a hint of blue..

Preordered both at HLJ. If they bundle the reactive armor later, I'm going to be pissed.

I still have my Yamato Roy with the booster displayed. At these prices I can't afford 3 Roy VF-0S

I would be royally pissed if the reactive armour works with the old yamato roy...which meant i could hv gotten the old yammie...

arcadia wouldnt do that...would they?

oh well they wouldnt tell us now if they it could........

Yeah...I'm in for two. Like others, I'm hoping Arcadia won't bundle this with the Reactive Armor.

I guess it's too much to ask for accurate coloring on the leg fins, but regardless, she sure does look pretty. Here's hoping they at least add the red stripes on the head lasers :p

Nope. Like I said a few pages ago, the Reactive Armor will not fit on the old Yamato 0S Roy since the old one has wider chest area than the new ones. And this is just basing it on the recent released 0D. ;)

Looks nice. So how does this differ with the the 0D being a 2-seater? Where is that extra cockpit length going?

I assume they are pretty much the same mold.

Probably it went to the rotating mechanism for the cockpit seats for both 0A and 0S.

So, why is it so hard for them to color things correctly? With all the blue and gray nonsense on the others, sure, I suppose there is some room for interpretation, but I just don't see it on the 0S.

Only answer comes to mind probably is because of the labor cost and production costs mentioned in the recent blog released yesterday by Mr.K. But yeah, I totally agree with your sentiments.

I know its a toy, but those thin joint connectors are so obvious in this pic...:wacko:

maybe not the best angle for a promo pic...Open up! :p

What thin joint connectos? Are you referring on the pelvic joints? I don't think it's thin. It's the same metal bar used in the VF-0D too. ;)

It will be a tragedy if the skulls aren't tampo-ed at that price.

True. True. True. If we get it as is, then all we can do is just scratch our head and rant here. Hehehe.

Still not up on NY yet.. geez why the hold up!?

Same as HLJ. I don't worry that much. ;) What I worry is how to finish my Ube Ice Cream at home. Hehehe.

If the skull and crossbones are to be stickers, I think many a 0S will be photographed flipping tables on release day. :p

Or people will just start using Photoshop and just paint the skull in. ;)

Gahhh! Must.try.ube.icecream!! =O

The only problem now is that with their release schedule we won't ultimately know how the skull marking are actually going to look for several months seeing this isn't due for release till December.. :/

And they won't bundle it with the reactive armor parts either.. i seriously cant see the armor parts being any less than 20k on their own and with the valks being so expensive individually who do they expect will want to pay over 50-60k for that bundle!? No way..

Wouldn't be anything new, Yamato used to do that all the time on their prototype shots. Difference is, they would actually tampo the stuff they added onto the final product.

Personally, I understand the reason to cut back on the printing, and it doesnt really bother me that much. It's the lazy coloring nonsense that gets me.. if they're going to ignore what the colors are supposed to be, they could just save everyone more money, and sell an unassembled one to paint ourselves.. :p

One thing about the Zero valks though.. because everything was CGI, the whole "the markings weren't always drawn" argument is entirely nullified. All of the markings were there in every frame of animation, because they were drawn into the model textures.

that looks hectic!! but doesn't the VF-0D have this amount of ankle articulation? I haven't attempted this with my Zero-D so I was just curious..

Just checked my VF-0D. The ankles can tilt a little bit. The VF-0S looks like the ankles can tilt more.

The 0D's ankles can tilt just as much. There is a side to side motion in the joint in addition to the pivot point. You just need to move it to the outermost side as you pivot the foot inwards so you can get the clearance needed.

I believe the ankles are the same.
