I have nothing but contempt for people who don't buy enough Macross stuff!

Time to cue up this after my replies.  :lol:

I'm actually waiting to see what the next pre-order will be on October when the next Tamashii Nation is displayed.

awesome display. damn now I need a monster ;)

Not having a Monster is a crime!:D

Arguably the best $$$/enjoyment out of all the Macross toys.

Wait...what...how did you get 2 reaction missiles mounted on the underside beside the gunpod of the VF-4? :huh:

Or even missiles on the wing for that matter...!

Such a cool arrangement for a display...:rolleyes::good:

@jenius - thanks to y our blog, I discovered Hi-Metal R this past Spring and fell in love with them! Got the Glaug, Regault, Max and Miryia, and a Monster on the way so far. Looking forward to completing my set! Thank you!

Glad it's been helpful!

I believe @sh9000 glued some hard-points to the wings of that VF-4, and used extra munitions from VF-1 sets.

Yes I used some joint rings from the old Battroid kits.

I'm going to be looking to do this with my PO'd Arcadia VF-4:good:

I still want to equip all of my HMR VF-4s with missiles.

I fully support this decision.

If i remember you had some sort of attachment points that you glued to the wings? Where did you get those? Or did you make them? I suppose I would be looking to use some 1/60 VF-1 armaments. I'm wondering if some 1/48's would look cool in a "those are a bit too big" kinda way. Plus, I'm swimming in DX armaments. You only really use half a kit and end up with lots of extras. Any pointers on how to pull attachment points off?

Thanks!

I might be imagining things, but I feel like someone here used small slices of surgical tubing as hardpoint mounts?

I was able to drill out some styrene sprue from a random model kit and make little plastic donuts that I can glue on, but it's very tricky to drill the hole perfectly for a tight fit.  Rubber tubing would give you a nice bit of built-in friction and flexibility.
