Sorry I see now what you mean by rotates. And it's on both feet I believe. Hope these pictures can help better than I describe.

Yeah, this is exactly the same problem on mine and on the previous Ostrich release.  The left foot can do a 90 degree rear heel (it is perpendicular to the rear calf) while the front foot can go flush straight with the front shin.  The right foot can only go as far as your photos.  If you find my old posts on the HMR Ostrich, you'll see the comparison, it's about a 45 degree difference.  The other valks in the HMR line don't seem to have this problem.  I've used steady force, like on the stiff neck of the VF1D, and also heat from blow dryer and also the water which usually works on stiff joints but it didn't work on both the VF1D or the Ostrich right feet.  I think the right legs are the same and have the same flaw.

1 of my 3 VF-1D's has the foot issue... both of my VT-1's have it.

OK SH9000, I am ready whenever you are [vf-4]

Is the Tamashii act 5 stand, the correct stand for HMR? [thanks in advance MW]

Either of those would work.  If you don't care about the color of the base that much, the second link is a better value.  The first link is the stand that some HMR toys come with (like the Regults). Most HMR toys come with adapters specific to that toy that will attach the toy to the display arm a lot better than the claw thing does, so you don't really need that.

The support arm on the first link is a little beefier, if you're worried about weight, though.

Just in case you missed it, the HMR VF-4 already comes with a stand. :)

The stand that is most commonly included with Hi-Metal R toys is the TAMASHII STAGE ACT.5 for Mechanics.  Three stands are included in this set.  It may have been reduced to two on later releases.  Check before you buy.

Other options include TAMASHII STAGE ACT TRIDENT clear  or TAMASHII STAGE ACT TRIDENT PLUS (clear).

Also consider Tamashii Effect Explosion.  I've seen them listed as "Red", "Grey", "Pink" or "Brown".  Beware of inflated prices!

It comes with the stand and thick primary arm, but does not include the thinner secondary arm.

I’d personally be nervous about mounting a fighter-mode valkyrie using one of the tube extensions. I’ve done it, but not for long. It’s not sturdy enough in my opinion. Battroid’s another matter, since the mass is distributed differently.

I've had my original Hi-Metal Skull squadron decked in supers in fighter mode and displayed from a trident stand for about 2 years.

The thin plastics hold up pretty well, just need to make sure you tighten the small joints, but not to the point that they crack over time.

Hmmmm, that sounds fragile, but luckily the HMR are so light, i am not very worried for them "breaking" a bad fall. Thanks ScrambledValkyrie!

Rigalt for sale I'm Mandrake. Was going to pull the trigger myself but I have the missile set version which is good enough for me.

Thanks. I would have bought it too but already caved last week and got another one from YJA. We can’t just have one Regult, right?

I broke down and ordered 3 of these. 6 stands  should be enough for now. I wish they were all clear, but the price is a steal imho.

I haven't taken out my Regult in a while, but I believe that it should come with a display stand.

The Destroids are what initially got me started with HMR.  Got my Monster on a sale and after handling it, I was hooked.

Regults does come with a stand.

That reaction you had is very typical. It was the Regult that got me.

I've had this tab open for well over a year waiting for that announcement! I can tell you, it's been hard to resist many of the other temptations that have appeared over that time (I've succumbed twice so far).
