Hi-Metal R

I have a feeling that VF-2SS is going to be a 'parts-former'. Though it comes with a SAP so I'm forgiving, so it's an instant buy for me as well. ;)

Shush you, this is the high before the inevitable low that we will get when people actually start dissecting the engineering and line art. There will be plenty of time for that low later!

Wow...with all the enemies coming out or potentially coming out, would this spell the end of the 1/60 line, like what 1/60 did to 1/48?

Hmm...

Dunno....on the contrary, it seems the 1/60 line is very much alive....unless you are referring to Arcadia's 1/60 line?

I hope Bandai releases every Valkyrie from this old poster and much more.

11 of them already released, soon will be, or likely will be......prophetic poster indeed! And that doesn't even take into account the destroids and enemy mecha coming down the pipeline......

Great day to be a Macross fan!

Where is that guy who wanted more than SDFM/DYRL stuff from the HMR line...he should be happy now! :)

This hi-metal line is looking more and more delicious deculture!

They look high quality, prices are affordable, and they're perfect with army building. With the 1/1800 scale SDF-1 coming out, and having a giant Macross in the background, the possibility for photo shoot is endless!

Went to Tamashii Nations today, amd saw these in person. VF-4 amd VF-0A were early, fixed pose fighter mode only painted up resin samples.

The VF-2 however appeared to be a fully transformable resin proto, and appeared to be perfect transformation. The hip bar transformation mechanism was visible, and looked sturdy. All the transfortion joints in the arms and chest/ back were visuble, as well as the sliders for the rear stabilizer pods. Landing gear appeared to be pop out and replace like the VF-1. Scuplt looked great, except the head, which was a little narrow, with very straight up antennas. Looked loads better than Evos attempt.

Couldnt sneak any photos, since the employee was standing right there. And no relaese date on any of those, just the ambiguous " Display only"

Thanks for the details jarrod, amazing to hear that it looks transformable and not merely a parts swapper.

Of course being a proto, would expect changes when it goes out of resin mode.

A long range zoom lens would bypass that guard with ease :p
