nobbyxr8 Posted January 5, 2014 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Recently I got 3 vf-1a unassembled kits for $50 each and wanted to have a crack and painting them below are the 90% complete photos of what I like to call the VF-1A trainer. Idea being its the aircraft used after the VF-1D trainer for new pilots. I have tried to make it look as tho Yamato them selves have made this kit. Enjoy! I think what seems off is that the base color is white instead of tan, but I prefer the white/orange combo better. Can't wait to see it finished. And this is the first time i've done masking so very happy with how its turned out. Mickyg, lacquer paints are the only way to go for a hard wearing great finish. Where abouts are you? live an hour out of Perth. I normaly make orders from BNA hobbies in vic, they normally have a good range if I haven`t cleaned them out the month before.
