Transformation's simple, straightforward, with just the right amount of detail for their rather small size. But really, its the paint app that's impressive which lifts the overall appearance. Nice weathering touches, without being too heavy handed that can sometimes obscure details on other figures.. So, screw Buck Rogers. I'm using a Revell Snowspeeder pilot, and making this a Rebel starfighter. Given the history with the old MPC Star Wars kits, I'd guess the inaccuracies are because the kit was based on the filming model, without any input from the prop and set designers. Still, they really did nail the exterior. Would love to see them reissue this kit like they did the old BSG Viper. Agreed on all points for "They Shall Not Grow Old" as well, managed to watch most of that on a cross-country flight last year. I think this is due to ToyWorld having increased their prices across the board recently. Bulldog's height in robot mode, with its legs in the position I posed it, is just a hair under 7". I ended up ordering a Max for $88 and I'm going to try and paint it or commission someone to paint it. I'll probably do it myself. It doesn't look this dark in real life on top of the cab.
