Did VF-11c's start getting cheaper?

THis one is on Mandarake for 25000

http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-305655.html

Every VF made by Yamato is going for much less...based on reverse speculation...now folks are thinking the prices will drop due to Arcadia re-issues so no one is really "fighting" for them anymore on auction.....

http://page3.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c390862872

400+ USD VF-11C's are no longer the norm....

Still...I am not exactly sure if Arcadia will revisit the Macross 7 line anytime soon.....maybe next year?

So 25000 JPY is actually a very good price....if you need to have one right now!!!.....

Can someone clarify for me -- is Mandarake an online retailer, an auction site, or both? Do you need a proxy to order from them? What charges are typically added on besides shipping?

they have an auction site as well as multiple storefronts.

all the prices quoted are from the Mandarake online shop from their B&M storefronts. no addition charges besides shipping unless the item is under 5000yen. they charge an additional 500 yen handling fee if an item is below 5000yen.

IIRC the 500 yen charge is if the whole order is under 5000 yen. Also, keep in mind which store the item is coming from (it says in English on every listing). if all your items are from the same store they'll combine shipping and it will be cheaper.

Couldn't...resist..... 12000 for a VF-1a super strike parts set with unused decals and a slightly beatup box。I called the Shibuya store on my calling card and confirmed the ヤブレ (breakage) is the shoulders, typical of all early V2's. Already got a set from shapeways on order :D

Wow, and there was an English-speaking person on the other end of the line? Or do you happen to speak Japanese?

if after proxy service it will cost about 210 shipped with the yen rate. which is about right for a new one.

there no pics of the actual item so it's risky if it's stated used.

Never thought of proxy fees. I have a bank acct in japan from when i was an expat and a buddy who mails stuff for me provided i get him beer (he loves trying american craft beers) I could have it for less than 210 for sure
