Kurisama's Custom 1/60 Upgrades & Add-ons

That would look really cool, IMO. Are you going to do your Thunder Hammer in the paint style as the MtF paint style to match? I really want to see Kurisama do the parts for the Macross the Ride version, including the leg fast pack thrusters, the vernier nose pack, and the different wings and fins. Well, everything that requires the full version. That would be a project I start on immediately. I'd definitely put the Paladin Prophecy 25 on hold for that, especially since I have the money now for awhile.

Hey guys, long time no show.

Truth is, I've been super-dimensionally-depressed for a while. I don't have the urge or motivation to even open up the 3D program.

I do however want to stress that the support from you guys are the shards of light puncturing the darkness of the gollum-type cave I've frequented for some time over the years.

I feel I've let a lot of people down, and it is easier to just ignore this thread & others and just dive into the shadows.

Occasionally I come up for air, and sometimes it's nicer than I think.

I know it'll get better.

Yup. That VF-1X++ head looks awesome.

ok although they are minor upgrades make a big difference specifically for the qau the articulated hands leave me feeling of the lazy yamato was when did this toy

and for the vf 1x++ head originally I planned use the longs laser canons but once in hand I decided for the short because looks more aggressive I love it

once again thanks to Kurisama for making this possible I hope do not give up and continue giving us upgrades and conversion kits for our macross toys

Looks great, Valhary. I still have mine in the packaging. I'm going to make it at some point, but right now, my focus is on the YF-25 Paladin. Unfortunately, I had to make a recast of the Frame Out parts due to fragility, but I'm working on the lance and the knee attachment now. All the rest is pieces from Armor and Fast Pack sets.

Awesome!! Yeah, I'm ok. Went through a kinda rough period, on the mend tho - a few more weeks and I have a few months free to just 3D model and art it up.

random rant: UPS here in PH sucks. There is supposed to be a new Admin Order that except small value (more or less anything within 200USD approximately) from taxation but their process is still outdated and is still asking me money, what's more irritating is that they are asking almost 40 USD services and taxes when all I spent on it is only 34 USD (free shipping).

In my country something similar goes on but beside that 40 bucks you pay like 45% of the value if it goes beyond 400 or 8 lbs when using courier services.

but it is just a small 3d printed runner for the custom VF-1X++ head. afaik, it is only available at shapeways, so no options to buy it locally here. And yeah, customs rule sucks. I am currently deciding if I should order again (since the reason they told me was it was taxed because the paperworks was done before the effectivity date of the order) or just pay since it probably will cost the same.

I used Google Translate app on my phone. Not sure if it's 100% accurate so I included the romaji texts. From left to right, top to bottom:

I spent today fixing the old VF-4 model, some nasty and yucky geo there, but it's good now. I ended up breaking open my 1/60 VF-4 and checked to see if I could get more chin/jaw in there, looks like I can. I also started to make the other heads;

Top left is the original/old/shapeways head - the one to it's immediate right is the slightly tweaked chin/jawline and small details. Bottom left and right are the others from the book.

The S-type is going to be very tricky to keep within the confines of the recess on the fuselage. You can see my progress so far, just trying to re-jig everything into place.

By the way, I like the Electronic Warfare type. The bottom right one (2 small fins on the head). Are you going to add another layer of details on the cheeks like in the lineart?

Hey Kurisama, if you want to enhance details a bit up on the visor, you can engrave all the electronic shapes on the inside face of the visor.

This is easy to print it in FUD and just clean the external face of the visor to obtain a transparent surface. I made that for the X9 and the result is really nice -and easy to paint-

Thanks Xigfrid, but I think I'll pass on the VF-4 visor, as it'll be too small to see I think.

I have done the S-type head, going to try the face vents and possibly look at extending the proportions of the face, chin and jawline today.
