The lack of Misa figures makes me sad i kind of agree. i think the original SDF bridge crew should be represented but I doubt I'd buy that many figures unless they were tiny... Or had removable clothing considering what sells these days in Japan. I don't know why with the anniversary we don't have quality statues of the original Macross characters. Keep in mind though that these are crane-game prize figures, not high-end collectibles, so have minimal features. I though she was supposed to be the flower girl, but this makes a bit more sense given previous swaps. Works a bit better than Minmay as Sheryl too. Yay, another Sheryl. Not like we needed a Misa, or Milia, or Myung, or even Klan or anything.... Nope definitely need yet another Sheryl. I'm guessing Sara as well for the reasons Phalanix mentioned. Or maybe she'll be the flower girl. Then she can be her own fan! Banpresto originally said that Ranka WOULD be Flower Girl, so it looks like they did a bait and switch! lol. Anything with Sheryl on it sells, meaning that more girls will be pumping 100yen coins into crane games at the local arcade to win them one. I'm actually very pleasantly surprised we got a Minmay - given that this lineup was announced during the FB7 hype train, I was initially expecting all Macross 7 X frontier characters. Looks like Banpresto paid attention to that request for a 30th anniversary Minmay figure that a fan wrote on the message wall at the 1:1 valk exhibit in Ikebukuro, lol. Just last Saturday I was at signing event - over half girls and most were split 50-50 between Sheryl and Alto fans. (Which is why there are still Sheryl branded fashion and jewelry collaborations even now, years after Frontier finished). Frontier has introduced a huge segment of female fans to the franchise. David Hingtgen Posted February 18, 2013 Share Posted February 18, 2013 Assuming that Grace 2.0 has 5 "personalities" inside, with the "usually dominant" one being the original Dr O'Connor, I believe that on occassion, one of the other personalities will surface/dominate when "Dr O'Connor" is distracted/stressed or something, and that's when we get that. All goes along with my theory for flightsuit Grace's appearance---being shot/damaged by the fight with Leon's troops just a little while before, her "main" personality was "off" and one of the others was in charge at the moment during repairs/rebooting---so "he" decided that while he had control of the body, might as well dress it in a skin-tight flightsuit and enlarge her chest, too. Kaldar5 Posted February 20, 2013 Share Posted February 20, 2013 Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the recent Macross extreme Chibi scale of the head being about the same size as the body shoulder to toe.Most chibis do not have such a HUGE head to body proportion, they at least have the body slightly bigger or "chubby" so the head does not look that freakishly huge.
