Beautiful!  Did you take it apart to paint the landing gears or did you paint them in place?

I just masked and painted them in place. The entire gear bay needs to be painted anyway, at least in the legs.

Hey Lolicon. Is it airbrushed or handbrushed?

Thanks! ;)

I used white primer, then sprayed white over it. I've no experience with metal parts, but white paint tends to be on the thin and watery side, so I used primer to help cover and stick better.

Thanks! Still need to experiment with the photo booth a bit.

Finally got a decent shot of my TV Roy Hikaru. :)

This does not look like a toy anymore. I almost thought I am seeing a model. Impressive.

Amazing what a difference it makes!  Great job!!!  Damn you, now it seems like something I should do too.  Just remember add the silver to the shock struts.

Always making more work for me! Not that I mind any tips that help improve the final product.

All the landing gear bay doors can be completely removed, which makes masking and painting much easier. Even the one at the very front, but it's in super tight. I had to wrap the door in several layers of masking tape, then use a pair of pliers to yank the door out.

That looks so nice. I wish they'd produce the armor in 1/60 scale.

Awesome!  Can’t wait to get some of those armors to make the HMR VF-1 even more cool looking.  I didn’t know you had 2 Monsters so if one of them is new, congrats!

I got chance to handle/photograph the prototypes of the 1/60 version, they were really nice.  Maybe one day they will get a chance to release them. :(
