No problem, everyone should know about Blue Steel.

That movie was much better than it had any right to be.

Well, I think not everyone. Forgot the whole thing. Hahaha!

 Yep, that's Blue Steel! How can you forget that, it makes me laugh all the time.

Sorry, I really forgot about that. I'm in that 'age' now.

After a week of not being able to post pictures due to my computer's power system dying out on me  especially on my birthday of all days, was going to finish editing my VF-31C computer came on but then died after I went upstairs, had to wait a week as they were transferring my data to the new desktop and buy a new Photoshop program. I must say I was a little worried about elements not being up to par with CS3 but I was able to open my active Photoshop file with ease and ready to go. Should have done this years ago, that Vista system was slowing everything down when it came to editing my photos.

Your 27 really has something more menacing, better posture than the 262. I like the 262 but one can clearly notice that the 27 is a more advanced valk and my favorite of the two.

Too bad the thigh ball joints got so loose on Frontier's toys.

No contest here, the VF-27 just looks better, far more lethal, sinister and advanced.

I agree with you both, the VF-27 is the most lethal, sinister looking and my most favorite of the Valks (besides the VF-1S Strike).

I thought that the Frontier Valks were leggy but seeing the 2 of them next to one another the 262 is really leggy.   The super parts really bulk up the VF-27 and increase its lethal appearance.

The only problem with the 27s from Frontier was that they needed a black or dark grey sinister looking paint scheme, never seen anyone attempt a custom one....

The only one I saw was Valhary's.

Wow, that black paint scheme is badass, I love it.  Great work @Vifam7!

I may have to order a 1/72 kit now, love it with that finish. Kinda wish that had been Brera's color scheme.

Might have been interesting to see Brera's 27 with a black color scheme.  I like the maroon color, but I wish it was more red like another ace pilot Character's color scheme from another mecha franchise. ;)

That is SOME craziness going on there with the Super YF-29.  I love it!  Makes you appreciate how far they had to pull the stops out to get it up to beat out the 27.

Excellent shots as usual Saburo.  I'll have to drag the camera out again soon.  It's been way too long and most of my stuff lately is all edited snaps from my phone.  Just doesn't have the same sparkle to it...

Yes, the Super YF-29 has a lot of stuff going on with it.  I had forgotten how much a pain it is work with because of the added weight of the Super Parts and its bulk. None the less I got everything setup and got the shot.  The VF-27 is a compact war machine, even more deadly when you factor in Brera had 3 AIF-9V Ghosts in Sayonara no Tsubasa.

Thank you for the compliment @mickyg, I appreciate it.  I am always trying to improve my shots.  Yes, break out the camera take some toy shots.  I remember scenic shots you had showed me were great.

Thank you @Skull-1 for sending me this gem in pristine condition! I have another 1/48 in storage somewhere but this is the first one I've opened and handled and I love it! I think I like it more than the V2 1/60s because of the overall simplicity, looks, gimmicks and size. It could be just the shock and excitement of getting something new that I've wanted for over a decade but it really seems like the ultimate VF-1 made so far. Did I mention I love it? Thank you @Skull-1 !

You're welcome, bro.  Hope you get that head laser fixed!  I broke the backpack hinge on my Myria Super J 1/48 last week so it could be worse.

Ouch! How did that happen? I think I would be crying if I did that.

Tried to snap the gimmick seat into the Battloid not realizing it doesn't click.   Bang.  Back hatch gave way and I ripped the hinge off the tail bar pivot.   Facepalm.

Thought I was gonna have a stroke.

Patched it it together but it will never look right in fighter mode again without a miracle.  I need a replacement part badly.

After taking the shot of the VF-27 with the Sv-262, I decided to watch Sayonara no Tsubasa. I got inspired by the Alto vs Brera dogfight.

Can anyone tell me how to go about stiffening the joints on my VF-171EX , VF-25F, and YF-29b toys?

Hope this Macross Maintenance thread helps. Would be nice to have this thread pinned somehow to help others who wants to fix their collections. Feel free to add your process there once you fix yours.
