Looks great! Makes me consider painting mine with a gloss white also.

Do it! I didn't think much of it till I compared it to unpainted pics; it makes a big difference! I'll probably end up painting all my Bandai valks' gears.

That landing gear being painted white makes all the difference, wish this was a standard practice with Bandai.

Me too. With all the improvements on the 31, I wish they had spent a few extra yen painting the landing gear. <_< I appreciate Yarcadia's attention to aircraft details even more now.

Looks nice! Just gloss white enamel paint, right?

Thanks!

I used some Tamiya white surface primer first so the paint would stick easier to the metal.

Wow, bigger difference than I thought it would show up as - that's fantastic.  Did you take apart the toy to get at the metal gears in its entirety or did you just paint them in place?

I'm gonna call the VF-0C done. The VF-0B needs decals and stickers. I forgot to attach the antenna but I like how it looks without it anyways.

Those are fantastic! Are there any issues with the length of the fuselage when transforming the B to battroid?

Thanks everyone. I'm just glad the C was done.

There's no issue with the fuselage. If you just swap the nose there will be issues as the A chest won't fit the D canopy. However,  I swapped out all the parts necessary to make it work. You need to swap out the nose section.  Then you remove that whole chest section by removing a pin on each side of the hinge followed by splitting apart the chest piece via screws and gentle persuasion then putting the lower section of it with the indent on the C and vice versa for the B. Reinstall on each then you're done with the hard part. Just pop and swap the heads and those flip up head covers next to the front landing gear.  If anyone's gonna try it let me know and I'll see what I can do to help.

Beautiful customs!!! Congrats.  Truely unique, you just need a little light panel lining on those puppies to bring out the details to match all your amazing paint work.

It's all Tamiya spray's plus their flat coat. The spray paints are super durable as I didn't top coat until just recently and have manhandled and dropped pieces countless times prior. They're much more resilient than the acrylic version although pricey. The only drawback is you gotta/should use a respirator as the fumes are strong.

Great news. I use their sprays all the time with my Gundam models (too lazy to deal with an airbrush) and love the quality of them. Just never thought to use it on a transforming model/toy for fear of it not holding up. Always passed on getting one of the Yamato assembly kits for this very reason. I'll seriously consider giving it a try if the right opportunity comes along. Thanks for the inspiration!
