VF-18S Hornet Posted July 27, 2015 Author Share Posted July 27, 2015 I got bored so I decided to finally take the super packs of my VF-1J Max, and instead of having them sit on the side with no space in my room to place them to collect dust, I put them on my TV Max 1A. That's all for now in the middle of editing my VF-0D pic, so far I got it into gerwalk mode, but this bird is a beast, I having trouble finding a place to put it. spanner Posted August 1, 2015 Share Posted August 1, 2015 The XB-70 is definitely one of my all time favorite planes! Just looks so sleek and sexy! And was so ahead of its time when they built it! One of North Americans last great planes! Sorry to see it didn't really amount to anything.. It must have been an exciting era to work on planes like this back then! I reckon many of the guys who did would be somewhat disappointed to see where we still are today seeing how advanced that plane was back then. You know I am thinking of putting the GBP pack on TV Hikaru 1S, I already did a Armored Strike with the DYRL Hikaru 1S. But for now here are some pics of my VF-0D, currently working on the Gerwalk pics so anyone with a flickr account look for them in the future will be posting soon. And after playing around with cameras, tripods, lighting, backgrounds, and post production, the attempt I made a few days ago fell very flat. Here's the best of what I was able to accomplish: After re-evaluating a lot of things (and nearly breaking my VF-171 in a near catastrophic accident), this was my attempt tonight: I now have a renewed appreciation for how hard it is to make these things look as good as Saburo does. I think it compresses your image files so it comes out looking a different than your actual pics. I've got a Canon 7D with a 17-55 f/2.8 lens, zoomed to something between 20 and 28mm, on a tripod. The back drop was black construction paper and the base is a black, foam core seat protector from my son's child seat in my car. I had to improvise! Lighting is from what must be an antique fluorescent desk lamp, held by hand until the lighting looks even. The first batch didn't look right to me and then I remembered I'd left my lens IS switch on. If you do this on a tripod, the stabilisation can sometimes get confused and cause blur because there is no camera shake. The second set I remembered to turn it off and the images are much sharper.
