And actually, we've never had a lot of items for sale at Cons besides some people bringing their own stuff to sell, so we'll try to work out something. The convention always happens when I have the least amount of money of the year. Right now I have $8 in my checking account and $12 in my savings with all of my credit cards too close to maxed out to even use. Expect a sale thread from me sometime soon. Anyway I am sorry that I will not be meeting you guys in person again this year. Hopefully next year for the big anniversary I will hope to make it. That is if the economy picks up and USA does not fall into third world status. Have a great time you guys and take a lot of pics to post up here so we can live vicariously through you. Peace.... I know i've gotten my fair share of parking tickets at UCLA when i went there. Dirty parking enforcement bastids! Knight26 Posted July 9, 2009 Share Posted July 9, 2009 I am still planning to attend MWCon on the 18th (can only attend one day, Owen sees one of his specialists on the 19th) and will be bringing the following, assuming they arrive in time: 20 Hardcopies of the book to sign and sell 25 Con Disks (specifically labeled as exclusive to MWCon 2009), these will include all e-reader formats of the book as well as the technical articles from the website (including those that I have not yet had a chance to post), ship registry files (kind of like a Janes book), Dossiers on the main characters, artwork, and a few other surprise extras. I will be putting together artwork for this disks this weekend and will post it prior to the con to get everyone's opinion. Best of all, I will be signing and selling these at a lesser price then the hardcopy, considering all the extras included it will be a great deal. Putting together a list of events for both days! Here's a sneak peak at what's happening both days: Saturday Exhibition hall displays Macross Video viewing room all day Video Game Tournaments with prizes In-Person Art contest with prizes Artist panel discussion Opportunity Drawings for prizes MAIN EVENT: Macross Karaoke Contest! Sunday Exhibition hall displays Macross Video viewing room all day Video Game Tournaments with prizes Macross Art Submission contest with prizes 1/55 Bandai VF-1 transforming contest with prizes Macross Customs Contest with prizes Opportunity Drawings for prizes Open Mic Karaoke! That's a tentative list of events for both days this year. REMEMBER! We are not allowed to sell anything AT the convention, so for those of you planning on bringing stuff to sell, you will not be able to exchange money for items at the event. However, if you were off site or off campus somewhere making an exchange, i could care less as long as it doesn't happen at the con. Seriously, there is this great tool out there called the internet, it is wonderful for doing things like looking up and booking hotels. But we'll be having an art contest that EVERYONE on MacrossWorld can participate in. You can submit it to me via email at MWcon09@gmail.com and it will be entered into our art contest on Sunday which will be judged by a select panel of art experts. Brief rules are: -Use 8.5" by 11" size canvas so we can print your artwork for display -Drawn art only (can use any style of color, b&w, or computer generated) -Macross Themed artwork Deadline is Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 8pm That's it! Grand prize for this contest is a 1/8 Ranka Lee Monster Call girl figure donated by www.HobbyLinkJapan.com. Thank you HLJ for sponsoring this event!
