Well considering that Bandai is the big sponsor for MF, they may have a really big veto right on who else can get the license. According to Graham, Yamato doesn't have it yet, and that does not bode well. Of course that could change without him being able to tell us... Cater to the japanese fans that haven't shown huge demand for Macross 7 toys, yes. And with no anniversary or big media event in years past to support it, Bandai would do that why? 15th anniversary for Macross 7 is next year, if Bandai still holds the 7 license and aims to do something, it will most likely be by then. Unlike Gundam, Macross is not on every year. Very true but you have to remember that Bandai is an international company and is responsible for the disrabution in the western world of quite a lot of Anime titles and such. Therefore they are very aware of the Gaijin market and its demand for products both Subs of anmie and plastic colectables. Remember also that they have facilities all over the world. If they do do the franchise justice and produce SOC quaility and PF Grade stuff then all it will do is make Yamato, Hasegawa and others up their game, In the long run we will benifit from that. miriya Posted January 20, 2008 Share Posted January 20, 2008 Maybe a better question than who will make the VF-25 and VF-171 is WHEN will anyone make them? Even if Bandai does have some sort of exclusive license (which we do not know if they do or not), when do you think they will make them? I mean, the show has not even started yet (aside from the first episode sneak preview). Would they wait for a few months or a whole season to see if the show is successful before they make one? Would they make one that comes out when the show comes out so that people can start consuming immediately? If the show is not as successful as they hoped for would they abandon their license or give it up to Yamato and if so how long is that going to be? Hassegawa has some amazing kits, if they transformed, and I had the talent god gave a rock I would buy them up and never buy another yamato... The VF-0S reactive armored model is amazing. I am not so fond of the vf-25 design so bandai has never really taken macross toys too seriously. But with the success yamato has found with the line that could change. But there are still far, far fewer macross fans than fans of the other shows that Bandai makes great toys for. So I wouldn't hold your breath. Even fewer for Ideon and Aquarion and look what they did with them. I am not so fond of the vf-25 design so bandai has never really taken macross toys too seriously. 1/72 HCM VF-1 from the mid 80's does things which companies today have still yet to replicate. The two with no fast packs are standing on standard Bandai MG stands for 1:100 Gundams, but the one with fast (or armour?) pack is using the stand that is identical to the one included in Soul Spec Dragonar-1. Thanks for the photo and the translation! I am very excited that the VF-25 perfect transformation is already in the works! I will definitly give bandai a chance and probably lots of money too. I was convinced that if Bandai did anything at all, they'd do it in some odd scale, just to differentiate themselves from Yamato. This is great news.
