The Angry Videogame Nerd

He's gonna take you back to the past
And play the sh*tty games that suck @$$
He'd rather have a buffalo
take a diarrhea dump in his ear
He'd rather eat a rotten @$$hole
of a roadkill skunk and down it with beer
He's the angriest gamer you've ever heard
He's the Angry Nintendo Nerd
He's the Angry Atari and Sega Nerd
He's the Angry Video Game Nerd

Check out the Power Glove one, Top Gun re-appears there.

I just watched that. That was pretty funny. Power Glove = precurssor to the Wii? LOL! You know maybe his power glove was just old and not working....not really the PG's fault at those bad controls?

Are there any, ya know, funny videos?

Nope. Just inane rants with lots of cursing.

Super Mario Brothers sucks! You can only move in 2 dimensions! What the hell? WALK AROUND THE DAMN TURTLE! This is bullshit!

The Power Glove worked fine... as a VR glove. It sucked as a d-pad and pair of buttons was the problem.

A lot of them wound up being kludged into PC VR gloves because of it. Was a lot cheaper than anything else, and just as good for most tasks.

His delivery is definitely lacking (unless that's supposed to be part of the angry nerd character), but I still find it amusing at times. Lets face it, some of those old games DID suck. I know I certainly remember a few Sega Master System games that were equally unplayable. He should drop the overly long episodes like the Friday the 13th/Nightmare on Elm Street ones, and stick to shorter3-4 minute videos focusing on lousy controls, vague instructions and impossible jumps.

Ahahahahaha!

The ones I really hate was snake rattle n roll... and true.. double dragon III was a pain in the ass.

The one I really love: the adventures of bayou billy.

The only game that uses both controllers and zapper + lots of different gameplay.

Oh, for f...

It's bad enough this guy's STILL getting attention, but dragging Custer's Revenge out too?

It wasn't funny when Seanbaby did it, and it hasn't improved with the 8.753154 million rehashes.

Yes, it's a porn game. On the Atari. WE GET THE POINT.

You know what? It was one of a SERIES of porn games on the Atari! And there was more than one company making them, too! And ALL OF THEM TOGETHER aren't worth more than 2 sentences.

I dunno....i may be immature but i found the adult games one hilarious. XD

Even more hilarious is....that people actually buy these games ? Do they get off by those blips on the screen or do they feel entertained by the gameplay?

I don't think people DID buy the Atari games.

Mystique went under after 3 games, and PlayAround didn't do much better.

The fact that no one carried the games certainly didn't help, but...

The Studio 2 is the single worst console in history.

The Virtual Boy is a damn fine platform that was never given a fair chance because it was "a red gameboy" that "melts eyeballs"

It's demise was one of the greatest tragedies of the entire gaming industry, and has likely ruined any chances we're ever going to see a system with 3D graphics in our lifetime.

Damn fine at giving me a headache. I'm not susceptible to motion sickness, and can play FPS's until my hands cramp into tiny little talons of hurt, with no ill effects. But 5 minutes on the Virtual Boy made me feel like a Sykes Fairburn had been shoved into each eye socket.

If Nintendo could have made this a color system (if I recall full color LED's back then would have been very expensive) and made a more comfortable way for playing it maybe it would have done better. One of my cousins bought one on clearance and I had the chance to play it once ot twice.

Maybe if Nintendo had marketed this thing to old people and women like they do the Wii it would have sold like gangbusters. Both systems are centered around "gimicky" technology (Wi - the Wiimote, Virtual Boy - virtual reality) and they had "inferior" graphics compared to their contemporaries.

My experience was that adjusting the display settings made a HUGE difference. Turning the brightness down helps with the 50Hz flicker(the system's achille's heel, if we ignore the marketing difficulties), and the "depth" control on games that offered it(not coincidentally, this was mostly games with a deep playfield) was a VERY personal setting.

Reliable blue LEDs became affordable the year after the VB's stillbirth.

Big whoops there.

The VB exists in an interesting hybrid.

Nintendo was pushing it as a portable for some reason, and it kicks the GameBoy's ass. But, well, it's not portable.

Now, if you're comparing it to the SNES, Genesis, and 32x... it's more arguable. It's higher-resolution than the SNES and Genesis, but lower-color(32 shardes of red VS hundreds of distinct colors).

But none of them have 3D graphics. :p

I agree wholeheartedly. I love my Virtual Boy. I only got a headache playing it, because the visor smelled like cigarette smoke (bought it used). The controller is one of the most comfortable that I've ever used. Out of the several VB games I own, only one of them (Waterworld) was "bad" (and I've played far worse games). Virtual Boy Wario Land was excellent. It could have been a great franchise, if the system hadn't failed.

The only major negative of the Virtual Boy was it's fragility. A good bump would completely screw up the display. Two of my three VBs have damaged displays.
