Great job!!

I love the weathering - armour is so rich in textures to detail, and you did a fantastic job bringing them out. Keep posting, I can only get my "fix" living vicariously through you! Keep up the great work.

And, yeah... where do you keep it all?

Actually i have been working on the stryker for 3 or 4 months on and off. Ill see if i can find the in progress pics later on. This thing has as much Photo Etch on it as it does styrene. Trumpeter came out with its own in house photo etch part set. 5 frets of brassy goodness.

I have alot of shelves.

are you adding wheels to that hardgraph hover truck thingy in the background?

I was thinking of using bigger tires like those from the aliens apc....your thoughts?

:)

Actually those are cast from a master i made. But in short i am adding wheels. I think the APC wheels would be a little big. The wheels i used were from a 8X8 Modern German scout car, the Luchs. I scratched up a bogie and sent them off to be cast.

Hello gang. I frequent this forum quite a bit but this is my first post.

The attached image is an 'in-progress update' of an original creation based upon a series of paintings I've been working on featuring "parallel world" airships. This "airfreighter" is 1/12 scale and features only the back third of ship. This piece will act as the 'background' for a short film currently in the works. Unfortunately, I won't be able to build the first sixteen feet of the freighter, as the storyboards only call for the back end....blast!

The dimensions are: 87" length

46" height

16" depth

There is a lot of great work on this site and I look forward to your creations!

Fortitude,

Rick

Thank you for the warm reception. Attached are some progress stills featuring rough framing and the initial surface application. Surface detailing, electrical, and paint postings will follow in the coming weeks.

Fortitude,

Rick

Next project:

Mar. 2008 * 1/72 scale SDF-1 command superstructure/bridge!
