More of the Dougram.

Soltic, it's Soltic. But seriously, some mecha designs don't seem to translate well into RvT-style. Both RvT Dougram and Soltic look more like actors-in-suits! Guess I'm just too used to the original 1/72 incarnations.

Porn actors-in-suits. Look at that pelvic thrust! :D

RvT Dougram wasn't that awesome. It's a neat toy but some of the mecha poses are awkward because of the spread legs. Soltic I guess I have to get. I got 2x Dougrams because they are Shadowhawks in Btech, so I sort of have to continue with the Soltic/ Griffins. Hope a Battlemaster comes along.

SWEET! Personally, I LOVE the Dougram, and the Soltic looks awesome too. Can't wait.

Got my Alphonse in the mail today.... and I've gotta say, this is the best mainstream toyline to come out in years. I just can't get enough.

yeah, i got my blue eva unit 00, very nicely done. my only complaint at all is that the revoltech joints arn't used on every pivot, they're really amazing figures.

Yeah, the big nut+pelvic thrust stance just doesn't work for Dougram/Soltic and possibly Bigfoot.

I like my zinc/plastic 1/72's much more even if they can't pose much.

Regret getting the Dougram. Will pass on the Soltic too. Bigfoot might tempt me, only because I don't have a Battlemaster in any scale right now.

i'm very unimpressed with my getter and dougram, after they sat for about 3 months i decided to open them.

their poseability is a joke compaired to the eva's, and its all becaues they sacraficed range of motion for that stupid big nut pose. I won't be getting anymore non-eva revoltechs (also the actual revoltech joint count on the non-eva's was too low for my likeing)

I really hope they have more Black Lagoon characters down the pipeline.

I just picked up Revy/Revoltech 012 from E-Bay.

Hopefully they'll make:

Roberta

Mr. Chan

Balalaika

Eda

Shenhua

.....and those CRAZY CRAZY twins from episodes #13 and #14.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but I find it kinda funny that you say that when they are pretty much the most dynamic and posable (not to mention affordable!) versions of those characters ever released.

No pictures, but AV-0X Zero is confirmed for release after Ingram Unit 2. Sweet, the one MG Bandai should have made but didn't, is coming out as Revoltech. Ingram Unit 1 vs Zero!! (courtesy Toysdaily)

After trying to stay away from this line, I finally broke down and picked up the Dougram from a local shop, now knowing that Kaiyodo will release more Dougram mechs on this line. And I am quite impressed. While there is some limitations on the joints (swivels at an angle, not straight horizontal or vertical like we are more used to), its still has a very wide range and is the most dynamic posing rendition of Dougram action figures EVER! While this is my first revoltech, and one of the earlier releases mind you, it rocks. I never had small figures that balances and 'clicks' so nicely. No worries of loosening major joints that will make the figure unstable after some play time. Very nice! Not to mention the coming attractions on this line is just lovely, even though I have to fight hard not to get them all due to limited space and budget.

And looks like Soltic will also have a 'shop limited' blue varient with different weapons, and even a new/custom type of revoltech joints! Check it out! Just saw HLJ has this blue version up for early bird.

the careful reader will note i didn't compair them to any other versions from the dougram line, compaired to the EVANGELIONS in the revoltech line, the dougrams are weak pose-wise.

I don't have Revoltech Evas, but I do agree to an extent with KingNor; the Dougrams are a bit limited pose-wise (as is the Alphonse). Still, it's not to bad.

AV-0~~! Woot. :)

Though I have to agree, if the hip can pull just a bit more of a natural stance, it would be perfect!

Does that make it posably impaired?

If you browse around Kaiyodo's website on the revoltech stuff, you'll find them talk about other colors of R-Joints, packed exactly like the blue give-away R-Joint set that comes with the limited blue Soltic Round Face. They said they will start selling these sets starting late September for 200yen a set (delayed?), or one might need to contact Kaiyodo directly to buy these, as they did put a contact address there on the page. Also, looks like they are having a point system to get these R-Joint goodies. Like collecting 'revol points' from purchasing figures (from the package box maybe?). But its pretty assuring that these joints will be widely available pretty soon, and in all sorts of colors too. They even have revoltech stickers LOL if you want to pretty up the figures with revoltech logos or look....like the Gundam FIX?

This line sure is getting bigger & bigger.

Got my first Revoltech figure today. I was fortunate enough to find one of the comic shops I regulary visit had Alphonse in stock so I picked it up. I'm actually quite surprised about how small it is but I love the poseability :D

pretty much my only regret is that they arn't as big as the kaiyodo EoE figures. though they are MUCH more detailed :-)

my unit 02 looks like a towering behemoth next to these lil guys. they're a bit bigger than my banpresto mini valk though, they're good office fillers.

Thank you. The RVT is by far the most affordable, fun and playable Ingram you can buy today.

- 1/32 DX: Plastic brick with lights & sounds. Hardcore fans only. Not cheap.

- 1/60 ClothGear: Cool exoskeleton (ala Dougram), but not very playable. The Python is cooler than Ingram. Usually expensive to acquire.

- LiA: Nice gimmicks (opening leg compartment/cockpit), so-so poseability. Series dead in the water. Surprisingly un-cheap if you can find it.

- Revoltech: No gimmicks, all poseability. Possibility of more Labors (look at the EVAs...). <2000 yen cheap.

Otherwise, it's the kits... 1/60s had more designs, 1/35 MGs had better details. but you can't really play with kits. I had bad experiences with the rubber shrouds on the 1/60 kits 'melting' the plastic joints over a period of several months... preventable once you learn from more experienced modelers.

Get one if you like Patlabor!

gosh... back in the early nineties when I was a kid and we visited CA I got my dad to buy me that 1/32 DX Labor at a comic store.. I doubt he would have paid more than $30-40 for it at the time.

they sold it at a garage sale a few years ago.... I had the box for it and everything.

any idea of its value? (do i really wanna hear this? :( )

oh yeah and you guys have convinced me to get the revoltech Ingram :)

I haven't had any interest in this line until I saw the Soltic. I blame nostalgic feelings cos I had one as a kid.

I see what Drifand means about 'men in suits' - I put this down to there never has been a articulated Dougram toy til now (from my knowlege) - all the toys and kits I've ever seen have been blocky 80's chunky monkeys.

oh yeah and Drifand- that "Labor in Action" figure doesn't light up does it? I thought I saw a switch in the back and the lights are clear after all.. just curious.

No, no. The 'LiA' is pure unadulterated PVC through and through :D

The patrol lights are indeed clear, which is a nice touch. If the hunger for all things Patlabor gets to you, it's definitely worth considering...

Guppy, it's really tempting when you see brand new incarnations of favorite mecha at highly affordable prices, esp those that didn't get the DX treatment back in the day. But then again, the blockiness of the Dougram designs are what endears them to me... afterall, I never had the opportunity to watch the anime, so the excellent Takara 1/72 toys DEFINED the whole series to me. So while I love the poseability in these RvT combat armors, the exaggerated 'humanoid' proportions doused my enthusiasm somewhat. For the same reason, I never bought the 'newly old' Kaiyodo series Macross mecha... I was saddened to see the Tomahawk sculpted more like a Super Robot than a Real Robot, just to achieve some 'hip thrust' action.

To each his own! :-)

No, I know exactly what you mean Drifand - it's a dichotomy.. I want the chunky blocky look cos that's what I love about 'bots like the Soltic and Dougram. but also want more that 4 points of articulation.. and having that means it's got to be more humanoid to accommodate all that movement. Although my yamato Scopedog does both quite nicely.

I have the Lia too and for a PVC toy it's tops! Except for the light gray thin and sickly looking shotgun it comes with.
