E3 2006

Recommended Posts

I'll be there this year as I was in 2003 and 2004. I look forward to playing the Nintendo Revolution...

Haven't gone in a few years but it worked back then.

Heck back then the on-site registration area was unsupervised - all you had to do was walk up to a registration computer, enter random reg numbers, and put your name on the professional registration list.

Also, there are always people hanging out in the parking lot on the last day asking folks if they could have/buy their badges. You could do that if you're really desperate to go.

I want to go very badly this year. If anyone has tickets, and looking for a buddy to go, or is selling a ticket, let me know. I'm working hard to get in, and I don't want to pay the $400+ for the registration.

Good luck to anyone without EXPLICITLY legit credentials this year.

I got to go last year off my W-2s and other creds from the cyber-cade I worked at. Everything was great. I got the registration info for this year as-per the "if you've gone before we send you an invite every year after that" thing they like doing. Sent it back.

Got an email then a letter not to long ago saying"Our records indicate you are longer an employee for Nexus Gaming Centers. We are sorry to inform you that without proper identification and documention that you will not be allowed to attend this year's E3 event."

Needless to say, I am pretty pissed.

I am pretty sure blood samples are going to be part of it next year.

It's getting silly.

So again, good luck. =(

like the seafood shows I go to...it's only for industry people as in people in the business of catching, farming, processing, exporting, importing, distribution, wholesale, and retail. Not for those who eat it.

I doubt the people who run this are loosing any money. the people at Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, etc pay for it don't they? and it was probably those people who requested that there be less non-industry ppl.

I would have liked to gone, but I understand why something like this would happen. If attendance is low this year, they probably switch it up again next year.
