  1. The as of yet untitled Episode 8 is written and directed by Rian Johnson, and slated for release December 15, 2017. DAYS UNTIL STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII Lots of news on the next film in the new trilogy: The release date has been pushed back from May 2017 to December 2017. $$$$ Rian Johnson is revising his script, in what is said to be a move to reduce the role of further new characters and focus more on the trio introduced in TFA. Principle photography was set to begin in the next few weeks (end of January 2016), but has been delayed until February 2016 because of the script revision. Some filming with Hamill and Ridley was done on Skellig Michael island in fall 2015. Word is they will not be returning to the island due to the difficulty in shooting there, and they will pick up shots elsewhere and on a soundstage for further scenes on the island. Whatever they needed for physical continuity was gotten this past fall.
  2. Presenting the thread dedicated to Bandai's high-end action figure lines: S.H. Figuarts S.H. Figuarts is Bandai's answer to Kaiyodo's Revoltech and Max Factory's Figma lines, with figures that boast extreme detail and poseability, coupled with a vast array of features and accessories. The line consists mainly of Kamen Rider and Super Sentai figures, but there are also figures for anime characters from Dragon Ball, One Piece, Tiger & Bunny and Doraemon, as well as Hollywood blockbusters like Star Wars and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Here's an example: Juzo Fuwa from Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (a.k.a. Deker from Power Rangers Samurai), a Tamashii Web exclusive: The line also includes S.H. Figuarts Zero which consists of non-poseable anime statues that are well-detailed. Here's Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin: D-Arts D-Arts focuses on video game characters, as well as the Digimon series. The D-Arts line was dropped after 2014, with newer video game character figures being released under the S.H. Figuarts line. Here are Rockman X (MegaMan X) and Rockman Zero (MegaMan Zero) (1st Version): S.H. MonsterArts S.H. MonsterArts is for the kaiju fan who demands a lot of detail and poseability that normal monster figures lack. Here's Godzilla: Ultra-Act Ultra-Act is for hardcore fans of the Ultraman series, as well as Tsuburaya Productions' other works. Here's Ultraman: Post your collection here.
  3. Bandai will be releasing 1/48 and 1/72 Star Wars models. I would love to see Star Wars kits with Gunpla MG/RG color separation. They also showed a 1/1700 scale Star Destroyer with lighting effects. Don't know if that will be an actual kit. http://www.actionfigurefury.com/band...toy-show-2014/

  11. Well the Clone Wars Animated series has started! Post your thoughts etc here! I for one liked the animated movie, and the first 2 eps were more of the same high standard. i thought the Yoda episode was the best of the 2, with his playfulness and mentoring coming through quite strongly. The other episode was ok, but a bit drawn out i thought. I likd all that happened, it just could have happened a little quicker! Still, we're off to a fine start!
  12. Don't want to muddle up the existing Episode 7 thread with non-official news...so starting this thread with interesting speculation found on the webs...or as a spot to post ideas anyone may have concerning the plot or anything else pertaining to the new Star Wars ST that is not official confirmed news... Since it is speculation....spoiler tags not required...however some of this stuff may actually come to pass....so viewer discretion is advised! So, anyway...found this....and it sounds very convincing.... http://www.starwars7news.com/2014/05/speculation-case-for-darth-plagueis-in.html?m=1
  13. Chicago as Star Wars mecca??? http://www.cnn.com/2014/06/24/showbiz/chicago-wins-lucas-museum/ So will the "museum" just have Episode 1 thru 6 stuff???.....from the article maybe there will be some Indy stuff too....should be fun....
  14. I just found this amazing Imperator Class Star Destroyer model built by a Korean Star Wars fan. In addition to the amazing build and incredible paint job, it features what has to be the most amazing model lighting I've ever seen for the Star Wars Star Destroyer, right down to orange area lighting and blue-white hangar bay illumination. The placard even has Engrish! http://blog.naver.com/PostView.nhn?blogId=no1jujil&logNo=130177875505&redirect=Dlog Astounding work worth looking at.
  15. Hey guys: In case you're not already aware, there is a great hobby and collectibles show happening at the Crowne Plaza Fairfield Hotel in New Jersey in September called the "Jerseyfest Model Kit & Statue Fair". If you're a hobbyist, it will be worth attending regardless of what type or scale kits you collect and build. Many people from all over the nation and even abroad are attending the weekend long event. Besides the show having many top vendors (some with quite unique and rare models) and artists with great kits and hobby supplies for sale and display, it also has legendary movie model making and effects artists participating and doing presentations. This includes the chief model maker from Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) Studios for the Star Wars movies, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, etc. and the original Stan Winston Studios effects artist who created the Predator. Besides the vendors, there will be lots of model related demos, classes, special presentations, exhibits, hobby parties, etc., plus an incredible model and art contest with great trophies, plaques and prizes. Learn more about the show here: www.jerseyfestfair.com.
  16. Maybe I'm just on an M&M kick right now, but this caught my eye: new Tie Interceptor figures in the colors of our favorite duo, and called Imperial Aces, no less. http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp?eidn=4357 (yikes.. um, mods/admins... can you fix my misspelling of Milia's name in the subject line?)
