  1. So I recently made a thread for Arrow on CW, but I just gotta make another. I believe we're in the golden age of TV, we're finally at the point when we are getting truly quality performances and stories on both basic and premium cable, there's literally something for everybody. So how about Hannibal? This is yet another series that's been blowing my mind for two seasons now, easily the most graphic and disturbing show on television, I find every episode to be pretty excellent. There are some really incredible performances throughout, Mads Mikkelsen is pretty much my favorite Hannibal since Anthony Hopkins horrified people in Silence of the Lambs, as a long time fan and reader of the Red Dragon novels I've got even more to love. Another fantastic episode tonight, the situation Graham has found himself in is hard to watch but you know there's more there than we're seeing, Hugh Dancy also absolutely dominating his role as the tormented Will Graham. My DVR is full, I've got something recorded almost every night, but I always find myself looking forward to Friday night Hannibal.
  2. This isn't breaking news but it IS something I'm looking forward to. with a ton of creative talent , and the budget Netflix can bring forth, I am expecting all 10 episodes to satisfy. I just hope the writers they've chosen can pull it off..
  3. From Hollywood Reporter https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/sandman-tv-series-neil-gaiman-david-goyer-a-go-at-netflix-1220761 'Sandman' TV Series From Neil Gaiman, David Goyer — With Huge Price Tag — a Go at Netflix The drama, from Warner Bros. TV, landed at the streamer with what sources describe as a massive financial commitment and DC Entertainment's most-expensive TV foray ever. Neil Gaiman's beloved Vertigo comic Sandman is finally coming to the screen. More than three years after New Line's failed attempt to turn the graphic novel into a feature film, Netflix has signed what sources describe as a massive financial deal with Warner Bros. Television to adapt the best-seller into a live-action TV series. Sources familiar with the pact note it is the most expensive TV series that DC Entertainment has ever done. The drama has officially been picked up with an 11-episode order. Allan Heinberg (Wonder Woman, ABC's The Catch, Grey's Anatomy) is set to write and serve as showrunner on the straight-to-series drama. Gaiman, who created the ongoing monthly comic, will executive produce alongside David Goyer. Gaiman and Goyer were both attached to New Line's most recent attempts to adapt Sandman for the big screen. Gaiman, Goyer and Heinberg will co-write the premiere.
  4. Evangelion, the legendary series that shocked the world, returns to Netflix! The 26 episode series that started it all, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and the two feature films The End of Evangelion & Evangelion: Death (True)2, will stream exclusively on Netflix from Spring 2019!
  5. Do we have a thread already? I'm kinda excited about the casting of Vincent D'onofrio as the Kingpin! http://comicbook.com/2015/03/02/first-look-at-vincent-donofrio-as-the-kingpin-in-daredevil/
  6. From The Verge: Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is the newest animated addition to the Jurassic Park franchise. The new Netflix series returns a group of unsuspecting teenagers to the dino-infested island of Isla Nublar, but this time, they’re going to travel to the opposite side of the island to visit “a new adventure camp.” You know what they say about visiting disaster-prone areas where people have died due to roaming bands of prehistoric predators — “Just try the other side of the island!” Unfortunately, this strategy doesn’t work, and the dinosaurs begin to wreak havoc. Who ever could have guessed? The six teens will have to band together, going “from strangers to friends to family if they’re going to survive,” according to a press release. The announcement comes with a five-minute preview — 30 seconds of Camp Cretaceous, and four and a half minutes of footage from previous Jurassic Park movies, showing how we got here. That means a ton of really cute footage of Blue, everyone’s favorite genetically modified dino, hanging out with Guardians of the Galaxy co-star Chris Pratt. Scott Kreamer (Pinky Malinky) and Lane Lueras (Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny) will serve as showrunners. Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, and director Colin Trevorrow are all set to act as executive producers on the series. This is one of the new projects to emerge from Netflix and DreamWorks Animation’s five-year deal, which has also produced She-Ra and the Princesses of Power and a Boss Baby spinoff series, and is due to produce a Fast & Furious animated series. Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous will debut in 2020.

  9. Anyone watch this twisted little Choose Your Own Adventure tome? Didn't work with Apple TV, but was able to watch it on a smartphone. The story/(ies) are a fun little mind-frak to go through. But I should have remembered I was watching Black Mirror:
  10. Netflix continues to drop the big news for their upcoming slate of anime titles, from the return of Neon Genesis Evangelion to the likes of 7SEEDS. 14. Sorry if this has already been mentioned but I did not see it. Netflix is bringing this title to the US? (or did they pay to have it made?). Looks interesting from the trailer. If Netflix follows their normal pattern I'll be binging on this on July 4th... http://www.blastr.com/2014-6-26/1st-trailer-netflixs-new-sci-fi-anime-knights-sidonia-awesome
