  1. Hasegawa VF-31

DAT ART! Is this gonna be the boxart for hase's vf-31J?
  2. Since Hase looks like pushing out more variants of the planes, i guess its ok to start a thread on hasegawa releases on the game. The other specific thread abt the ridgebacks is here..
  3. If you're like me and have been waiting for a reasonable price for one of these kits, then your time has come! SV-51 Twinbooster VF-0A/S with Ghost
  4. Hi guys! Here's another from the stash! As with my previous model (SV-51) this one have been sitting on the stash for too many years. The build was straight forward after building many vf-1, but the decals were another story. I believe that for being so much time on the box, when I started decaling there were many that literally disintegrated on the water. Lucky me, had many leftovers of previus valks. After all frustration, I believe it came up pretty decent. Now it's time to move to the vf-11 or 25. We'll see. Martin
  5. This is such a neat color scheme with great tail fin decals that I had to build one. Here's the result.
  6. Here are some photos of a VE-11D I've done in the original VT-1 Elintseeker livery:
  7. Finally finished! What I was looking to do was this: Did I succeed? Couple of firsts for me on this kit. All of the red and black were painted, not decals. Never done that much of an extensive masking/painting before. Used the Jasmine Models PE set for the first time. And, used Wave sculpting putty to modify a Studio Starforge pilot figure to get a the First figure.
  8. 1/72 Launch Arm

For all of you that though that I'm retired from modelling, let me prove that you were wrong! Since my baby daugther born in July, I don't have any time for nothing, but I try to take advantage of any free moment that I have, even if they are just few minutes. So don't expect too much from me this year neither. So, here is my lastest work, one of my first GK purchased here in MW, 8 years ago. This is the original Launch Arm developed by Gundamhead & Jesse. VF-1 obviously is a Hasegawa, the box was made with 2 H-Hanger by Wave, and the Frame and other details were scratchbuilt, based in the following lineart: Model was painted with Mr. Color paints, Valk is detachable due some magnets in the Arm, and in fact, I prefer to display just the Valk in home, and keep the Launch Arm just for exhibitions, just to avoid bending in the arm, due the weight of the Valk. Special thanks to WM Cheng and Jefuemon for inspiring my work in this model with their own Launch Arm versions. Hope do you like it!!
  9. I noticed this up for pre-order on HLJ as I was browsing. http://hlj.com/product/hsg65833 I'm not caught up on Delta, but it's a smart-looking VF-1 scheme... and I take it it rocks the EX-Gear system?
  10. VE-1 Elintseeker Hasegawa

Hi!! Long time since my last post. I want to share my VE-1 Elintseeker, it´s been like 2 years since I finished it, it was in my shelf an eternit - like 10 years or so- waiting to be built), It has some scratch build here and there, specially in the cockpit. Let me know what you think guys.
  11. Latest completed kit - VT-11 Emu

The say-what-now?? Yeah, not official, but I'm continuing the tradition of naming training aircraft after large, flightless birds. Was originally the VF-11D Thunderseeker, just trimmed the head antenna, added a VF-11C gunpod, also in training colors, and did the overall color scheme myself. I'll be bringing this one to Shizuoka next month, too.
  12. So, I talked about building it, now I've finished it. Alto's VF-25F Tornado Messiah from "Macross Frontier - The False Songstress". Base kit is the Hasegawa Super Messiah, everything else is from Bandai's (horrible) transforming Tornado kit. And yes, I am planning on bringing this with me to Shizuoka in May.
  13. Hey, my first kit-bash! Thought I'd share what I'm doing here to those who might not as yet taken the plunge in combining two different company's kits. For the main base kit, I'm using Hasegawa's VF-25 Super kit, since that way I don't have to futz around with trying to fit on the leg armor. You will need to separate these parts out, though. The middle portion is not needed. These are the Tornado parts you'll need from the Bandai kit. I despise the Bandai Frontier line, that's why I'm putting these parts onto a Hasegawa kit. Wings? You won't need them. You can also skip the part where you put in the wing mounts/swing mechanism, since you're going to keep the wings fully swept anyways. On the Tornado wings, you'll need to open the opening up a bit more to fit over the Hasegawa kit. That's where I'm at right now. When I come to more modifications, I'll update.
  14. I have been a member for I believe over 10 years. I don't post much, but this I believe is a worthy and noble cause. Jasmine Models is running low on Stock for these Photo Etched parts. Seems like Macross World might be the best source for JM in regards to repeat customers. Thus I would like to petition the reissue of the following items (most importantly parts for VF in 1/72 and 1/48 scale) Because this is probably the only way that Newca will seriously consider making another batch, if you read this please reply and add your Name to the list and how many you are REALISTICALLY interested in. (see below) I am definitely interested! 16. Hasegawa 1/72 VF-1 Super Gerwalk

No confirmation from the Hasegawa site yet. But I'll probably definitely be buying!!
  17. VF-1D Hasegawa 1/72

Hi! It's been looong since I post a model, so here goes the latest, wich box has been sitting for years 'til I finally get it. Even when I've build lots of Hase VF-1s, for some reason this one didn't wanted to get finished, with lots of fingerprints of glue over the paint, wich needed to be sanded and repainted, decals that appeared where not originally placed, etc. Anyway, fun to build.
  18. My friends, Here is a new finished kit from Hasegawa, also with scratch detailed cockpit (added buttons and the modified canopy that can be displayed opened, closed or without it. I already posted my Max VF-1A gerwalk wich you can see in this forum. No more words, let`s see the picutres, please let me know what you think. I really hope you like it. And this is the detail of the scratch cockpit
  19. Hello, first pics of my new building, the Hasegawa's VE-11 "Thunderseeker" ! The box : And the (very) beginning of the building, starting with the pilot and the cockpit : Regards,
  20. According to this tweet: 1/48 VF-1 weapons set in November from Hasegawa. 1/72 VF-1 J/A Gerwalk in December.
  21. First build completed for 2015! Had this sitting on my shelf for a few years, finally decided to go ahead and build it. Very quick and easy.
  22. YF-21

Hi Guys... long time without upload new build pictures! Well, 2014 was a very busy year to me: Finally I got a House, so almost all my free time went to it But little by little I'm getting more time to the hobby, so finally I finished the YF-21. It has the option to go with the cockpit open or closed. Hope do you like it!
  23. VF-11 Proportions

Hello everybody, This is my first thread, but I have a question that I feel only my fellow Macross fans could help to answer. I am an amateur 3D artist and as a hobby, I enjoy modeling Valkyries. I just started a new model of a VF-11 Thunderbolt. I want to make it as close to the line art as possible while still being able to transform it from fighter to battroid. For reference, I have Yamato's VF-11B and Hasegawa's injection kits. They look good and will work great, but I noticed when I started measuring them that the proportions don't match the specs given in all the documentation of the VF-11 series. Macross Chronicle and the Macross Mecha Manual say the VF-11 is 15.51 meters long with a wingspan of 11.2 meters. When I measure the artwork from the Hasegawa instruction sheet and scale it up (assuming a length of 15.51 meters), I get a wingspan of 14.37 meters. The Macross Mecha Manual line art gave me a wingspan of 13.23 meters. I have yet to measure the Yamato toy, but just eyeballing it, I can tell it has an incredibly wide wingspan. So my questions are: 1) Is the Macross Chronicle wingspan correct, or is it a known inaccuracy? 2) If it is correct, is it with the wings fully extended? 3) Is there an accurate portrayal of 15.51 x 11.2 dimensions anywhere, either in a kit, toy, or line art? 4) Did Yamato and Hasegawa make the wings too wide, or did they shorten the body? 5) Should I just ignore the specs and go with the Yamato or Hasegawa proportions? 6) Can anyone recommend an alternate resource for VF-11 schematics? My temptation is to go with the Yamato, since it compromises nicely for transformation, while maybe scaling down the width of the wings closer to the line art. Thoughts?
  24. Hello, few pics of my new building, a VF-1A Valkyrie. The box art : Building will be quite simple, only few updates thanks to parts taken from this : No main issues for the building till now : More work to come on the desk : Wings will be set in open mode : Let's have a quick look : It seems that it looks like a Valkyrie uuuh ? the paint will be probably a us navy inspired, with a heavy weathered grey camo. Thanks for reading me.
  25. Spent about three hours getting this thing painted up..and hour to take off the masking TAPE... REALLY !!! HAPPY with how this turned out! Would you like to see the development shots of the masking process!
