  1. Hi I am wondering what are the measurements for the pegs used to mount the fast pack to the VF-1 toys from Toynami and the adapter used to mount the gunpod to the arms in fighter mode? I am wondering as I'd like to have the VF-1R boosters, VF-1 version of the fast pack leg tanks for the VF-0 and the gunpods from the VF-2JA and SS version.
  2. Just wanted to share my custom designed VR google and controller wraps. The images I used came from danbickell here in the MacrossWorld forums, he allowed me to use them from his 3D modeling DYRL VF-1 WIP project thread for the head and cockpit portion on the controllers. I did the custom graphic work for the controllers by adding a scene from DYRL to the monitor, space background and the mirrored images of Roy Focker (RIP) and split the design in half so that one hand is throttle and the other is the flight stick (where is my Macross VR game?!?). I provided my images to and worked with a great guy on Etsy named Lou who owns and runs Loucidco. He has, hands down, the best template for the quest 2 (if you want full coverage). Did some back and forth with him, and he was the one who really made it all work. Thanks for looking!
  3. Hey guys, I figured I should make a thread for those of you who have Macross pilots that you've created in fanworks or fanfictions. Just post pics of em here and what not. The pilot I have here is named Oisin Sealgaire of Aries squadron. I decided to go with the DYRL flight suit for his appearance but I'm also working on a TV version pic. He's the main character of a fanfiction I'm writing now and I was HOPING to use him for Macross Roleplayss, but I can NEVER find any good ones, especially since MacrossRPG.com is seeming rather dead. Name: Oisin P. Sealgaire Age: 19 Height: 6' Weight: 190 lbs Hair: Blonde Eyes: Blue Ethnicity: Irish-American Rank:Ensign (2009), Lieutenant Junior Grade (2012) Squadron: SVF-77 Aries Aircraft: VF-1A Valkyrie
  4. I decided to go heavy with this no paint kit that I had built a couple of years ago, I was thinking it lacked character, finally it is complete.
  5. Hey everyone! Just wanted people who don't frequent the Building/Customizing Macross Models & Toys section of the forums to be aware that slowly but surely - items I've made and produced from Shapeways.com are becoming available to you. This started initially as my own custom pieces meant just for me - but as the items grew in ambition and complexity, I thought it a waste if no one else got the chance to have these in their collection. As mentioned above they came about in 2 of my own threads customizing a Queadluun Rau and a VF-11C; http://www.macrosswo...showtopic=35459 & http://www.macrosswo...showtopic=36209 - shapeways pieces and WIP at the end of the threads. Currently I've finished 99% of my DYRL to TV Queadluun Rau conversion pieces - with only a new hip/waist articulation to go and have finished wing-clip attachments for VF-11s to allow attachments of any current 1/60 missiles and the freshly made HMMs. I have also completed a 1/60 Queadluun Rhea Impact Cannon and pieces to attach to a Q.Rau and for a VF-25 to use as a rifle. More items will become available as I get them and inspect them personally for detail fidelity and material properties to ensure the best product possible. They are available here; http://www.shapeways.com/shops/RPG Without giving too much away - expect much more love for the VF-11, VF-0 and Zentran Mecha. I am open to suggestions or requests - but they're subject to my work load. I will update this thread when items become available. I will continue the above custom threads with the build-ups and eventual completions in their respective threads. Peace! EDIT: Trying to add a poll!
  6. I recieved a commission to paint and old takatoku, I gave it my best and I am updating some pics here of the results and process
  7. I adapted the armor of and old ARII model of the 1/100 Zentraedi soldier / Kamujin to display with my HMR valks, This was my cheap solution to not being able to buy the one at Wonfest
  8. After a long break from my last Macross/Mecha kit building (as well as my hobby life), Somehow I managed to come back to it! I've always wanted to make this custom build, but I had a couple of reasons I didn't start until now. The biggest reason was my fear of paint wearing and chipping on transforming kit, but I might have found some solution - which is not fully tested yet. Anyways, the below image is my project plan. Basically, my goal with this project is to make it like Hasegawa 1/48 or Club-M resin kit - while keeping the ability to transform between 3 modes add details where it's safe add lights where it's possible and make sense. use metal where it makes sense for texture or it need strength The base kit will be either VF-1J or VF-1S that I bought from HLJ during 'Panic buying frenzy' I haven't decided which one it will be yet. It could be My favorite first TV Hikaru VF-1J - but cockpit design is not as cool as movie ones, and doesn't go with cool launch arm (that I'm planning to build later..) Movie Focker VF-1S Super Valkyrie - All good except that I'm not a big fan of S head design Movie Hikaru VF-1S Strike - it's the final battle model - All good except that I'm not a big fan of S head design I'll decide as I go.. By the way, I've been buying some supplies and parts for this mod for a while now. Below is a some part of it So.. according to my plan, I'll be doing some major work on the wings, chest block, backpack(?) and cockpit area. So I've made silicon mold to start copying those parts. My workflow will be 'recast - cutout/rework - recast those parts'..etc Also I found a cool mechanical hand parts that I can use. Size is between 2 hand types that comes with Yamato 1/60. Design is a little different, so I need to work on that. That's it for now, but I started it at last!! I can only work on this over the weekend nights, so it will be very slow process..
  9. Finally finished! What I was looking to do was this: Did I succeed? Couple of firsts for me on this kit. All of the red and black were painted, not decals. Never done that much of an extensive masking/painting before. Used the Jasmine Models PE set for the first time. And, used Wave sculpting putty to modify a Studio Starforge pilot figure to get a the First figure.

  12. Recently I have one of the members here introducing me to legos and then I branched into nanoblock due to the costs and space required, any way I wanted to share my work and take any suggestions for new models. Also I would like to know if there are other people in this fandom
