  1. I decided to try out the technique in a bigger model, a friend may want me to build and paint his 1/20 planax, but I declined as I think I need practice and I am a really bad builder
  2. some models of Macross that i have made for 3d printing and assemble. the link to my page by if someone has interested. https://www.facebook.com/ermax3d/ all comments are welcome!
  3. This is all told with plenty of detail in my blog: https://eosmusashi.wordpress.com/the-yf-19-project/ so feel free to check it out! I'll try posting the WIP from the beginning here and share the steps I've taken to make my favorite mecha plane LATEST UPDATE:
  4. From the album: Macross CG Fan Art

Using mechmaster’s Battroid model again, re-mapped to see how one of my custom Valkyrie fighter squads would look in Battroid mode. A useful exercise, as there were definite changes to be made that I will carry back to the fighters’ paint scheme. I also tried to reflect the personalities of the pilots in the poses. Textures based off of the Enigma scheme as seen in the plastic kit hobby mags.
  5. i started this back in 2011, but i got sidetracked in to various other projects! i simply love the design of this fighter, but this model not so much...yet. if bandai's 1/55 VF-1 was a chuncky monkey, this model is a flying Burger!! the only thing on this that is scale 1/100 or closest to, is the plane itself. the rest is way out of scale, well thats how it looks to me. i decided to rework it all to make it look like the linedrawings... as much as i like to make it look like this! it wont be possible in this scale with transformation _________________________________________________________________________________________________ first up was the back thruster parts, hollowed them out to make room for actual thrusters but when i revisited them i decided they where still to thick/big, so i made them thinner. more to come soon.... need to take some updated picture of the parts as they are now...

    Gone Batty

From the album: Macross CG Fan Art

A revised version of something I posted on DeviantArt. Using mechmaster's VF-1 Battroids, I remapped the model somewhat to improve my VF-1S Fokker texture, and to create a Hikaru VF-1J texture. No weathering effects on them yet...
  7. Hey all, I finally got my hands on three wonderfest kits that are hard to come by. They are the aiming battroid resin kits. I'm looking to complete this set, so I'm wondering if anyone out there has this kit that they're willing to sell? Please PM me. Thanks. Tom
  8. Hello guys. This is not my best year, and in part is because of this kit. I'm having great problems with the adherence of Laquer Paints on resin kits, mainly those that were made in Japan in the 80's and 90's. With Moscato Kits instead, I never had adherence problems, and obviously neither in plastic models, like Hasegawa. I lost entire weeks because during the masking, the tape toke off all the paint. It was a dissaster. Fortunately, you can't see any of these problems in the pictures. So please enjoy it, I didn't! Vintage and modern Macross vinyl figures. They make a PERFECT pair! Bravo, Toynami!

  10. Finally finished another one! 1/72 scale Strike Battroid from Hasegawa. Pretty much a straight OOBB. Went with the Hikaru version, since my regular VF-1S Battroid is Roy's. Few more shots can been seen at the regular place.
