  1. 1/6 Dana Sterling (Robotech Masters) / Jeanne Fránçaix (Southern Cross)
  2. I'm kinda sad that Southern Cross is not much loved by anyone from both sides of the Pacific ocean. Anyone has any idea if this TV series is a big flop in Japan when it was originally released? I mean, we know Macross is huge, even before the Macross Plus revival, with tonnes of toys made for it, and Mospeada is currently enjoying a nice revival in the toys re-release. But I am doubtful if I remember seeing toys in Japan for Southern Cross in the original 80s release, and even more doubtful if any toys will be re-released in the near future. I hope anyone can provide info if this series
  3. I am moving and can't take a majority of my models kits with me...no basement. I have tons of vintage Macross, Southern Cross, Mospeada, and Orgus Kits. Sell them for what I paid for them. Lot's of kits are only $5 plus shipping. No kit younger than 20 year old, most are from the 1980's. You can find the collection at https://snarkylizard.com

  5. Captain’s Log: Friday, October 10th. Southern-Cross garage kits are among the rarest of the rare, assuming there are any out there at all. A while back, I was approached by a fellow MWer about mastering the patterns for the Bioroid drop-ship. It seemed like it would be a fun project, so I gladly accepted. So as with all projects, I begin by drafting some basic technical drawings from which I can carve parts. As is to be expected from line-art of that by-gone era, the different views of the ship don’t even correspond with each other, and this case is a particularly bad
  6. Good Day Folks I am in discussion with Captain America about making a model of the Bioroid Assault Craft from Super Cavalry Southern Cross and would like to gauge the interest of members on this forum: http://mechajournal.com/2015/11/roil-tiluvo-aerospace-assault-transport/ https://ixquick-proxy.com/do/show_picture.pl?l=english&rais=1&oiu=http%3A%2F%2Fmechajournal.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2017%2F04%2FRoil-Quekasm-Air-Defense-Boat-with-Roil-Tiluvo-Assault-Corvette.jpg&sp=6a9c2200c3a395ea0f6f15a5e181364c The model will be around 20 cm (7 or so inches) in lengt
  7. I am excited for this little project. I am making a 1/72 transformeable/ poseable wolverines. I hope I can get some kits going by february if not sooner. Also got couple more of the same series coming.
  8. Here is an interesting item I found at the recent Comic Market 91. It is an expansion for a fan made table top pen and paper tank battle simulation called "Tankhunter". This expansion adds Mecha from Macross, but also borrows some units from Southern Cross and Megazone 23, but renames some them to fit in the Macross universe. The artwork is also borrowed from various Robotech sources.
  9. I was thinking about the Spartas (RT: Dana Sterling's Hovertank) recently. It's the one Matchbox Robotech toy that eludes me mostly because I'm too cheap to cough up the $100+ for the ones that languish on eBay. But I have a ton of LEGO thanks to my wife who years ago robbed some teens blind at a garage sale. I decided to give this a try knowing that it's transformation is really one of the easier ones out there for transforming mech. This is my version 1, took me roughly 8 hours of dedicated work. It helps that I've had practice trying to build LEGO mechs with the standard system, bionicl
  10. Our "Women Of Robotech" panel is tentatively scheduled to kick off Otakon 2016 at 9AM on Friday the 12th. The current schedule posted is just a preview schedule and subject to change. Keep an eye out for updates. This year, we are opening with a Japanese version of the 1970s Wonder Woman TV theme sung by the Tirolian Muses. We'll explore how animation changed over the years, Robotech's importance in the 80s, and focus on the roles the women portrayed in each chapter of the series. www.Otakon.com

  13. After reading some of the comments in the Southern Cross topic and thinking for a while. For the first time I came to the conclusion or perhaps realization that a lot of the anime I like might be past its selling point for most. I grew up with this stuff and it’s still cool to me. Sometimes it feels like yesterday even though it was back in the 80s or early 90s. I still want items from these shows but the majority either don’t or grew out of it. Which is sad because current technology allows many anime toys, models, and figures to be produced at high quality. I even came up with a new project
  14. Packing up all my stuff and want to find a good home for these. 89 COMICS - All original COMICO books - all VG - All Bagged, some Boarded. Some of the bags look a little worn, but all books inside are in VG condition - or NM. COMPLETE Macross, SC and Mospeada Series - Includes Dana's Story and Robotech 1 3D. Want to say $1 a book, plus shipping? Is that a good deal? BOX will be dang heavy! Cost me at least $20 to ship. Just want to move them! $79 SHIPPED $99 - Includes Shipping
  15. I just finished my rendition of the proper flag for the Armies of the Southern Cross. Harmony Gold uses the logo for the Tactical Air Force as their default logo for all of Southern Cross but this one is correct. Southern Cross is my favorite Anime and I've spent a lot of time working on this to be true to the couple of images that are seen in the DVD. I took the two screen shots of the flag and created this image trying to utilize proper heraldic style which is what they would use. I hope you like it.
  16. We just received word that our Macross/Robotech panel was accepted for Zenkaikon 2013 in Lancaster, PA. We are currently scheduled for Sunday the 24th at 2PM. We will delve into some ancient & pop mythologies and dabble in some 21st century physics. Robotech voice actor Richard Epcar will be a guest at Zenkaikon this year. www.zenkaikon.com
  17. The real attraction is a full set of kits of the 3 main ladies from the series - all bagged and kept minty for many years. I would say they are near mint but certainly in VG condition. Big West stickers in place, very high quality kits with die-cast pieces and other gimmicks. Jeane or Dana does not show up anymore on eBay, very hard to find. Always wanted to glue them in a fixed pose and recreate this image, but I am short on time and have too many kids. Other items include This IS Animation large book, VG condition with outer wrap thing, cards and posters all in tact inside. This is
